So, now that we have a proper thread to lay out what's going on, I'll actually highlight this.

To summarize;

  • 8-B JoJo is an outlier due to far more consistent 9-A and 8-C feats. That said, the only 8-B feat that can be used to scale, this one, incorrectly assumed that Dio and Jonathan were in the epicenter of the blast, which actually makes a large difference, as Prof re-calced the feat here to 9-A, leaving only one non-scaleable feat from Red Hot Chilli Peppers as the last vestige of 8-B JoJo.
  • Similarly, the High 8-C feat of Avdol vaporizing dirt is incorrect, as it directly contradicts a statement from Joseph saying they dug the hole, and it doesn't match up with visuals (Only the wooden planks of of the railroad track are burnt and smoking, the dirt doesn't look like it touched fire at all).
  • While there is an arbitrary and overly beurocratic rule about not adding + modifiers without calcs, Tarkus is only a fraction away from 8-C via his own calced feat, and common sense dictates that people who are massively stronger than him such as Dio should at least by 8-C+ seeing as who they scale from is right on the line.
  • 8-C is the new ranking of the verse, supported by Tarkus' feat and Jolyne deflecting asteroids, although see the above post about Post-Deep Pass Overdrive characters ranking at 8-C+.
  • Prof is also doing another revision here , although we should wait until our discussion is finished on AP/Dura before we jump to that.
  • Apparently there was a mistranslation in Kars' statement about being stronger than Joseph. He actually said "hundreds", meaning 200x is the baseline multiplier for him.

They weren't; Prof already calced with how far they were in mind, and it came out as 9-A.

Not to mention, as plot holed as it is, they lived via getting into the coffin, not having Jonathan's dead body tank the blast and crawl in later.
 
I remember 8-B also coming from a cliff feat in Part 2 (Wamuu collapsing a cliff) and Part 3 (Part 3 being the Wheel of Fortune one).

Wheel of Fortune feat got smacked. We're not using it anymore.
 
If you thought of fights in jojo being abstract, then Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe is even more abtract than that. The difference between how strange Rohan spin off is to main series jojo, is the difference between jojo and Dragon Ball in strangeness.

Thus Spoke Rohan Kishine features such memorable fights as: Rohan and Tonio vs Shallow Water Molusks, Rude Guy vs his stunt double and a headless spirit of eternal damnation, Woman trying to not spill blood on the floor, Rohan and crowd vs Cellphones and Electrical bug things, and high stakes Cotillion
 
If someone can bring forward more 8-B feats, that would be fantastic.

So far all we have is a non-scaleable feat from RHCP. I've seen other feats thrown around here but no links or blog posts I could find, so that's hot air unless someone links me to an accepted calc.

Also the breathing calc isn't even accepted, although I strongly doubt it scales to anything. I'd call it Environmental Destruction but then I'd get three or four people say "ED is going too far" among other phrases such as "the sky is falling" and "Goku vs. Superman".
 
I found a feat in the Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe manga of a guy who can a cause people to get hit by trains due to having a heart problems

Doesn't scale to anyone but I thought it was worth mentioning

@Chartate, Yeah, Za Warudo would have 8-B environmental destruction as well.

For the last time, Lungs aren't muscles.

And last time I checked you can't punch someone with your lungs.

It ain't ED, though I guess you could argue it being something like Alucard's 8-B TK and 9-A stats

Alucard can use his TK to harm people.

Star Platinum has never breathed in air to harm someone, not like that's something that's logically posible.
 
Jesus christ. I just read the most recent Thus Spoke Rohan Kishine chapter I could find. You guys know about that running joke about the pillar men being "Aztec Gods of Fitness"?

Araki heard, and Rohan goes up against Hermes, who is apparently the Greek God of fitness. He has a wall level feat I think

He can't use the energy he used in that breathing technique to harm other people. It's the dictionary definition of Environmental Destruction.

Alucard has literally only used TK to throw people onto flagpoles and bring in his Blood from across the city, not once has he actually slammed someone onto the ground with TK

Yeah, I can agree with that.

But it wouldn't scale to anyone's physical strength.
 
I disagree with 8-C+, we don't use that logic anywhere else and it shouldn't be applied here. That said, aside from that this looks okay.

I said ages ago the 8-B calcs were wrong but nobody listens to me so who cares
 
"We don't use logic" sums up the whole 8-C+ issue to me.

If we want to be that arbitrary about it when we even have a calc that's ridiculously close to the borderline and people scale up much farther than that, whatever.

And we use that logic all the time, just to say. There are plenty of verses that can scale up from X Tier+ to the next tier via scaling.
