So since this verse is considered a Complex verse (and for which it was deleted off this wiki), I'm creating this discussion thread to discuss Getbackers Chapters/Arcs with other members as I progress through the chapters so the verse and it's characters can be created properly

I need your help in creating those profiles. I've read it previously till chapter 110 and after a hiatus I've just started again from scratch and real close to finishing Vol 1.

Also if you're from scratch it'd be best if you didn't read my profile yet as it may spoil some stuff, enjoy Get Backers, it's not worth to just read through only to create the profiles on the wiki. (Chibi Ginji best boi)

Finished Act 2

Tiering wise they'd be 9-B Easily

DC/Dura wise they'd be Wall Level as Ban as a minimum Grip Pressure of 200KG with Ginji able to produce upto 450,000 Volts of Electricity and surviving attacks that could throw them through walls

Ban gets: Illusion Creation, Mind Manipulation, Fear Manipulation, Dream Manipulation, Perception Manipulation, Status Effect Inducement (His Evil Eye can create Illusions, Cause the victims to experience fear and nightmares or pleasant dreams like the Yakuza gang, make them fall asleep as Ban did with the Nurse, as well as make them obey his commands and change their perceptions by messing with their mind as he did with the Dog)

Ginji gets: Electricity Manipulation (His body can Generate upto 450,000 Volts of Electricity)

Strength Wise both are Superhuman currently

Speed Wise they're Superhuman as they breezed through the City including jumping off running cars bonnets

Edit: Weaknesses for Ban is that "Evil Eye" lasts for only one minute as well as it can't be used on the same person twice for the next 24 hours. While Ginji's weakness is that the more hungry or weak he is, the less powerful his voltage becomes
 
It's a side effect of some of his Illusion Creations. Case in point is the Guard Dog in the Yakuza mansion in Act 1 to be tamed instantly and hump Ginji (lol)

Also finished 3rd Act

Ginji Would get Magnetism Manipulation (His charged body can act as a large magnet)

Kurodone Akabane would get Body Control (For being able to store so many surgical knives perfectly in his body), Weapons Mastery (Professional Killer lol), Ressurectio (Ressurected himself even after getting seemingly killed by Ginji)

Himiko Kuda would get Poison Manipulation, Mind Manipulation, Biological Manipulation (one of her poison perfumes can regress physical and mental aspects of a person to neanderthal level), Fire Manipulation (one of her perfumes can cause the victim to burn internally with fire coming out of their orifices if they inhale the perfume)
 
It'd be best if you make a sandbox for Ginji and Akabane at least (since these guys are the most important ones rly).

About Akabane it's not Ressurection, it's immortality, i think it gets revealed later on.
 
Actually, SPOILER ALERT!!!, It's Quantum Manipulation and Passive. Think of Kumagawa. How he can Ressurect even after getting killed. That's Akabane for you because I heard he can Ressurect just fine without any injuries even after getting Killed. I've heard some more things but let me read the full context.

Also, I'll try making their sandboxes. Otherwise, I'll have to use this thread for their profile creation.
 
I know it's passive, all immortalities are passive. So his law just prevents him from dying. So he cannot die because of his wish "not to die". I think we should treat them like "laws" instead since they can shape reality.

That's how i went about Ban's "i cannot lose" thing.
 
I honestly don't know about those because I haven't went up far ahead. So I'll read the acts for context.
 
If we consider the fact that they can get back life because of their Willpower we should put the Immortality Type 8. I mean "they" because not only Akabane but Shido also can. (Dude! Stop spoiling!)
 
Well yeah kinda, as long as their will says 'i cannot die' anythig unable to overpower this law cannot kill them.

Also for the love of god, can i PLEASE call ban's will to be unable to lose 'The Hero', i just need to call it that xD
 
Finished Act 4

Kazuki would get Thread Manipulation (Can Manipulate threads in an extreme skillful manner)

Shido would get Animal Manipulation (can communicate with and Manipulate animals)

Also I feel like Ban and Ginji would have small building lvl stuff if them vs the bodyguard in the woods were calcd

Also if Ginji's lighting strike were to be calced it may be above small building lvl (wait did you reach the lighting strike scene?)
 
Yes also how a punch from the bodyguard removed a chunk of the ground along with the tree.

y'know. you might want to list why they got their power instead of stating what they have. like how jubei can have limited magnetism with his black yin yang orb that also **** up his body, for example
 
Well so far,

Ban's Abilities are a result of his Evil Eye

Ginji's because of his Electricity

Himiko's because of her perfumes

Akabane's for unknown reasons

Shido and Kazuki are just because it's their normal abilities


It's not like some major things happened and they got a power up. It's just that with every passing Act, they display an ability out of nowhere as if it's their normal powerset without any powerup or anything.
 
no dude, like, i know where you be going with this. but it'll be better if you can put it like, for example; himiko have many perfumes. on some chapter she use a certain perfume (that has a name, i remember that she got names for most of her bottles) that can do something

ro sather than what you been doing like

himiko gets x, y, z

it'll better if you put it like

act n

himiko used red death perfume that makes someone's blood to come out through all their orifices so she should get blood/body manipulation

that way it would be easier and more convenient to anyone reading the thread or when you're making the page post like these would make your job easier

Even better if you can also include scan with it
 
Ah so you want me to detail them out. Yeah I can do that. Including scans going to be difficult because slow internet but I can post the chapter number for full context.
 
currently got keyman and no guns life on my reading list. former already finished and the latter still on going with few chaps available. imma try helping you. finished this manga few years back and with this i can have a reason to reread it for the 3rd time
 
I read the entire manga and was creating a blog about their feats but I had real life problem and left the wiki for a while and lost interest in the verse so I never finished it.

Verse caps out at High 6-A with a statement iirc. Just don't feed into that Universe level and higher dimensional BS.
 
the series can reach a fairly high ranking without statement i think. there was some feats from the miroku family where they be swinging this heavy sword at supersonic (or lightspeed, according to ban) speed which can be calculated with, dunno, angular momentum formula i guess?
