They start at 2 m distance due to SBA, but KQ needs to move out from Kira's body, and Sans is extremely likely to just teleport out of range and spam bones.

Yeah Sans really just outrange and spams danmaku from afar. I doubt Kira would have time to pull off much Stray Cat trickery while being barraged by danmaku attacks and really lack the mobility to dodge them.

Preeeetty sure that Bites the Dust can't just be activated like that. In both cases where he set it up, he was up close to the victim. Actually blowing up Sans regularly would be way easier and practical.

Bites the Dust needs a "host". Kira cannot be the host, and if Sans was the host, he wouldn't be the one blown up, he'd be the one being protected by BtD, and getting rewound back in time if anyone else (except Kira) was blown up and remembering everything.

Also Kira can't use Killer Queen or Sheer Heart Attack while BtD is activated, so making sans the host would be purely detrimental.

Using BtD on Sans would require Kira to run away, find some other person, give them BtD, and then tell them his real name while sans is within earshot.

That's how it was used in part 4, and that's the main reason Kira didn't just make himself the host instead of his not-kid

IIRC, that was because it only seems to work on non-stand users

?

I don't remember it being mentioned that he couldn't make BtD's host a stand user. Just that he couldn't make himself the host.

Anyway, that still puts him in the same situation, because if he gives it to sans, sans is now being protected by BtD and getting rewound through time without Kira remembering anything if someone else blows up

I don't think that was ever mentioned.

Also Sans fra

Alright, let me clear something up here. Kire does not activate Stray Cat, that's auto protection right there. Sans also lacks the power to get past the air sheilds anyway, so the bones probably won't work on Kira

Thus, Kira eventually makes his way to Sans and wins. I vote Kira

Sans' attacks are considered intangible now so the shields won't matter.

Also Kira never used Stray Cat as a shield like that. And yes it does need to be activated. Stray Cat is just stuck in Killer Queen unless Kira let it attack.

The Air sheilds protect against intangible attacks like stands.

But stray cat did, when Josuke went in to attack Kira Stray Cat protected without Kira even knowing it would do that

Except that no. The attacks used by Stray Cat are nothing more than regular air. They don't have any special properties outside that. I'd also like to mention that stands intangibility have never been used offensively like that to my knowledge anyway.

It did it that like once? Kira had to manually use Stray Cat for the rest of the time he had it. I don't even remember Stray Cat using an omnidirectional shield the size of Kira.

Also, even if the shield did block the bones, telekinesis still bypasses it.
Not sure how Telekinesis would help get around the shield. Even if he attempts to throw Kira around he lacks the raw AP to deal damage with that

Not talking about attacks, talking about defense. It may not make sense, but they are in fact capable of defending against intangible attacks. In Part 6 during the Goo Goo Doll fight, iirc, the enemy stand was passing through bars. It doesn't matter anyway, cuz intangibility is intangibility

Yeah, and Josuke didn't manage or attempt a second physical attack after that. He has to use it manually to attack, but we are talking about defense.

Except that stands needs to activate their intangibility. Since it's almost never used offensively, we have no reasons to assume that they used intangibility in these sequences. Also the shield is just an extension of Stray Cat's offensive abilities. It's still just air that shouldn't have any stand power into it outside of being controlled by Stray Cat.

They spent the entire rest of the fight attacking the other. Even if it's via indirect means, it should have still been shielded by Stray Cat. The fact that it wasn't shows that Stray Cat is not used for this purpose in most situations.

Since when? stands are intangible by default. Hence why Josuke could fire projectiles through Ratt to attack Bug Eaten. Also, the air bubble are neither offensive nor defensive by default, but Kira uses them more offensively. If Josuke or Kira could just intangible there way past the air sheilds they would have done so. It shouldn't but it does.

If stray cat is aware of the oncoming attack, it will protect from it. Most of them neither saw coming, Kira didn't have his stand summoned, or Stray Cat had already created a different Air Bubble elsewhere.
