Non-Physical Interaction in Bleach and Intangibilities for Souls

Extra Source: Should Ichigo get Non-Physical Interaction?

First, Souls are Intangible and invisible to normal humans (the official scan):

other proof for shinigami, Quincy, and others having Non-Physical Interaction. It's spirit threads/ribbons.

Both Ichigo and Uryu have touched them.

^In that scans alone both Uryu and Rukia stated only Skilled Shinigami can see them and even Uryu implied only a skilled shinigami can touch them. Meaning it's normally invisible and intangible to low-level shinigami, let alone normal humans. And I think it makes sense, just imagine what happens if those threads/ribbons were not invisible and intangible to normal humans. The humans will freak out or even trapped in that threads/ribbons on daily basis.

And Ichigo demonstrates this ability again when he meets Zangetsu for the first time.

Here are the anime version of Ichigo touching the spirit threads/ribbons.

So, these scans would mean that all spirits such as Soul reaper are normally invisible and intangibles also other who can touch them should get Non-Physical Interaction.


The spirits should also have Invisibility. Even the Standard Battle Assumptions via Verse equalization: agree. Quote: "For example, characters from other verses will be assumed to be capable of perceiving spiritual creatures such as Shinigamis from Bleach."

I got the list of what should all the characters affected.

 
Surprised this wasn't added yet from the other thread. I agree with this unless someone got evidence against it.
 
Well Quincy and Fullbringers are still "human" and shouldn't get the intangibility part, only souls like Hollows and Shinigami should.

Non-physical interaction for all makes sense.
 
Isn't the Viz scan somewhat mistranslated. Iirc in Japanese she says that Hollows and Reapers have so much spirit energy that a normal human can touch them, even if they can't see them.

It's the official scan, I rather go with it then other unofficial scans.
 
Image and a fan Translation. I remember doing a rough translation of it, but even without it you can see by the large amount of text that she said more than what the Viz translation put.

^ Rukia was still able to touch a Ghost and send to Soul Society. Ichigo also did.
 
Yeah them touching ghosts is a solid reason. I'm just saying that anyone could touch a Reaper or Hollow.

No, because a Hollow/Reaper has a lot of spirit energy they can be touched by anyone.

Makes sense, they'd get non-physical interaction but not intangibility unless they were weaker spirits of low spiritual density.

Don't get mad that im asking a staff whos consistently participated in Bleach threads to come and give his thoughts.

I'm not mad at that in the slightest. I'm just seeing a trend that's all.
 
A trend thats literally no different than, for example, asking Cal to comment on every Pokemon thread, Dragon to comment on every Digimon thread, Kep to comment on Naruto threads, etc.

But they are listed as a supporters/opponents/neutral fan of the verse or a knowledgeable member of the verse.
 
And again, so what?

They're are plenty of users here who consistently comment on threads about verses despite not being listed as users of them on the verses pages.

By preferably asking a VS Battles Staff like Admin or Bureaucrat and listing the supporting evidence why you are knowledgeable in a chosen verse.
 
Not listed really doesnt mean anything, you know that right?
It highlighted that you are familiar with the inner working of verse, and being a knowledgeable member, in some case, it highlight one's extreme familiarity. This familiarity is necessary part for proper profile revisions.

You are correct they are not intangible, but have a single mistake up there. The "universal" term.

Tbh There are no real spirits, because spirits is probably doesn't even exist IRL
 
Nedge you can actually just add yourself to those lists if you want, you've just gotta be able to back it up. Anyways, this seems fine to me.
