A certain person gave me this idea, so I'm stealing it from him ovo.

As for the rules:

DMC1 Dante & Post-Apotheosis Monica are used.

Sword of Sparda is restricted.

Speed is equalized.

Starting range is 100 meters.

K.O. via SBA.

Now, let the fight begin!

Monica - 0

Dante - 0

Inconclusive - 9 (Gargoyle One, Arrogant Schmuck, CrimsonStarFallen, ALRF, NOT OK, Sir Ovens, Dargoo Faust, Overlord775, DragonEmperor23)
 
So....

Dante has exactly two ways to beat her regen

Using Cerberus to freeze her in ice, which she can't break out of as she's physically 7C

Or using flame gauntlets to burn her which he can do due to the AP gap

My biggest question is...High High into High 7C is the Showstopper?
 
Okay cool

So freezing and Roasting with Ifrit negate her regen.

Not to mention time Stop, vastly more experience by this point

I'd say Dante takes this by a slight Margin.

Granted ShowStopper will be a pain
 
So apparently 'Wait for Dargoo' means 'End this thread as fast as possible so he never gets a chance to respond'
 
Can Monika even kill Dante ?

the showstopped has lower AP that Dante's durability and it greatly reduces Monica's stamina, meanwhle Dante can just regen

meanwhile all Monika normal attack are useless

it look like a stomp to me

And deal with it, half of the wiki is biased towards DMC ovo
 
Overlord is right actually, none of Monica's weapons other than the Showstopper can even do anything to Dante

Lower AP=/=You can't hurt the other
 
Monica's Showstopper nulls abilities. So when Monica uses it, Dante will be left powerless to stop it from oblitherating his forehead.

However, this strains Monica and she uses it as a last resort.

Why was the Cinder Match added then?
 
Cinder was added because Cinder didn't have Dante levels of regen and Monica in-character spams rockets that Cinder couldn't avoid.

Dante can actually slow time and avoid the missile spam.
 
Is Low-Mid regen really that impressive? I mean, it is for its level, but not generally.

And Gar, thoughts on my idea above?

Monica can harm Dante through just spamming 50 kT projectiles. Sure, they're not near Dante's Dura, but enough of them would definitly be able to wear him down in time. Showstopper can at least leave Dante powerless for a time, leaving him open to more projectile spam to finish him off.

I've also seen no discussion about how likely Dante is going to use the grand total of two weapons that he can use to incap/kill her.
 
Wasn't the argument that the Showstopper eventually destroys her? Cinder may have the AP advantage but Monica can outlast her with regen untill she pulls the Showstopper.

Showstopper is a 1 time thing and it won't kill Cinder

Sure it will hurt but it can't one shot
 
The issue was that Cinder uses magic-based fire attacks normally, to which Monica resisted dura-negging levels of.

If it's magic based, it wouldn't hurt her. She resisted dura-negging fire magic.
 
She would resist being frozen entirely, and could summon the showstopper to melt the ice and hit Dante.
