Yoshikage Kira Transmutation vs Transmutation Resistance

You see, there's this character from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure called Yoshikage Kira. He has Explosion Manipulation, which works by detonating anything that he has converted into a bomb. He can evidently convert his targets into a bomb via Killer Queen or himself touching them without changing their appearance, which is listed as Transmutation.

However, if he were to face against a character who has resistance to Transmutation, would his bomb conversation fail in this case, thus making his Explosion Manipulation useless against them in regards to making them explode like a bomb?

This question came from Kira being able to atomize his targets with his Killer Queen, but I'm not sure if he can do it against a character that resists Transmutation.

(Any Knowledgeable Members of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure would be preferable to answer this question).

If they can resist exploding or being turned into an explosion, I'd imagine that making them "immune" to KQ's bombing. But if they also resist transmutation from the likes of KQ's, then they'd get resistance from it as Kira needs to turn them into a bomb to even explode them. Ofc he could still kill them with an object turned bomb near them or lure them or some such and let the explosion part do the harm, though if they also have resistance to explosions that might...not work I guess?

IDK, but that's my understanding of facing Kira's bombing and transmutation as much as I understand, to my logic/thinking, that GER needs to kill someone to reset their deaths infinitely.

In theory no, KQ wouldn't be able to turn into a bomb someone that have resistence/immunity to transmutation, but that wouldn't make it resistent/be immune to Explosion Manipulation, it just avoid being turned into a bomb or reduce its effects.

What's the scale of the resistance?
Lets assume the resistance to Matter Manipulation is molecular level, but it also can resist Transmutation (turning organic matter to inorganic, and inorganic matter into organic).

Users have stated that Killer Queen atomizes, but I'm not sure if it's because of the Transmutation or the detonation after the target has been converted into a bomb (the latter could be considered atomization because the target is literally exploded like a fiery bomb).

Killer Queen's transmutation is instant full body transmutation. It's not unsimilar to the likes of petrification. If they can resist that, they probably can resist KQ's bombs.

And the atomisation comes from making the transmuted targets explode? And the atomisation aspect shouldn't work if the target can resist getting transmuted in the first place?

If he can't turn you into a bomb, he can't make you go boom. However, Kira is able to turn objects like Clothing into bombs (Though they stay in tact, as shown with the 100 yen coin that hurt Shigechi), so he can still use his explosions for combat in this situation, just he can't duraneg.
