YHVH and SMT IV Apocalypse Discussion

YHVH, Nanashi, Flynn, Dagda, and Satan.

YHVH is self-explanatory. Nanashi is as well. Flynn gets High 2-A for being canonically relevent to the fight (in both routes, he is needed as a Godslayer to take down YHVH). Dagda is High 2-A because he supported Nanashi with his power in the fight. Satan is High 2-A because he judged YHVH in their final fight (even if he is an aspect of YHVH, it seems that Satan is actually the strongest servant out of all of them. Sorry Matt, I yield to you from the debate we had a month ago.)

I recently beat the game(easily GOTY), and I have a question pertaining to the branes. When in YHVH space, I encountered various angels like Mastema, and Metatron(A boss) in some of them. Would this give these angels(and demons) in the higher branes the High-2-A status along with Lucifer and Merkabah. I'm sure most people agree Satan(Was, and still is my favorite!) is High 2-A.

Dude, having to fight Satan and YHVH one after another was the best thing ever. Both of those fights were incredibly fun, especially on War. And yeah, the game is super polished over its predecessor.

Powerscaling, no. But if we decide something on the Branes in this thread, then they might get an upgrade. But that's open for discussion.

My favorite trait of this "Collective" YHVH is his different intentions. While SMT II YHVH was completely evil, the "Complete" version tries to hide this from Nanashi and Flynn. It reminds me of SMT II's Law Ending, where he congratulates Aleph and crew for their deeds before Satan shows the party the true evil, God himself. He tries to come off as the good guy in both games, but in the end, he never changes himself. The English voice actors were surprisingly fitting for each of the characters, and I feel the Japanese voice actor fit SMT II's YHVH better than SMT IV. Come to think of it, if SMT II YHVH is a part of True YHVH(An "Avatar" perhaps), this means in terms of Avatars, the list goes:

Great Will > SMT IV Apocalypse Demonized YHVH > SMT IV A/F Normal YHVH(Maybe they're the same?) < (How strong Satan is)

Dimensional Gap (4-D to 5-D)

> Fused Demiurge > (Where Lucifer and Merkabah would be)(Ancient of Days?) > Demiurge > Metatron > Sandalphon > Archangels(?) > Kagutsuchi. That's one hell of a list of avatars for YHVH and The Great Will.

So.... should we begin the revision ?

-Uprgrade base YHVH and adding new description about branes on his AP (the current one doesnt look good to me )

-Create profiles for Apocalypse Satan, Dagda

Also, Tiv, what do you think about Stephen, Mido and Saint Germaint ? As they have transended the circle of transmigration and met The Axiom, they even catch up with Axiom movement. Hence, maybe that's the reason why he can take on all of the protagonists at the same time

Can't we just put a seperate key for Satan? SMT 2 | SMT IV Apocolyse ??

nah, I dont thinkso . While Satan from SMT 2 was the fusion of Zayin and Seth, the Satan from Apocalypse is the fusion of Lucifer and Merkabah. Which is why i dont think we can treat them as a same being

hmm good point magi but while the fusion is different the being is more or less the same dude either way i don't mind (though i haven't play the game i will i hope soon XD)

I was looking up SMT profiles on the wiki, when I found this thing:

http://megamitensei.wikia.com/wiki/Aeros

"A living embodiment of one of the four major elements: wind."

Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Compendium
So this fodder-ass demon is the embodiment of wind. I decided to do some calculations on what the energy output of the most powerful possible wind.

The fastest wind ever recorded had a velocity of 408Km/h.

The world's largest wind turbine is 164 meters in diameter.

Applying those numbers to this calculator, with 100% efficiency...

http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/wind-power-d_1214.html

... I get a result of 1877774261196 watts, or 448.798819598 tons of tnt per second.

If accepted, this would put some of the weakest demons in SMT at the 8-A Tier.

What other demons would be at that level of "at least 8-A", King Frost has the same affinity with ice as Sylph does with wind, and King Frost even fought early game Nanashi.

HOLY CRAP!!! I did not know that!!! So.... regular Jack Frost......(Watch me be wrong and Jack Frost ends up becoming a Multiverse+ level character)

I don't know about everybody else, but I think the Atlus' mascot(And his royal Hee-ness) should get a profile. Jack Frost gets access to Hama, but the instant kill may fall under NLF or Game Mechanics.

Demonee-ho is definitely multiversal level. My favorite Jack is never lower than that :^)

If we're discussing the regular demons, towards the end of SMT 4 chaos route, weren't there mid-level Angels capable of damaging end game Flynn and Lucifer (to some degree), in required/canon battles, as well as creating barriers Flynn couldn't break through? If so wouldn't this scale to most mid-level demons, since the mid level demons of Abel's army can match the mid-level Angels.

Also, Tiv, when you say that YHVH's universe includes all possibilities and timelines, are those timelines within the Branes, or outside of them?

YHVH's universe is a separate one that transcends the regular Amala Network and is on a higher echelon than it.

Yeah, I understand that, but I was wondering if the universe possesses its own additional temporal dimension, beyond the standard 4th/5th dimension.

Some angels should be 2-B, and a few should even be 2-A! Azrael and Aniel are likely 2-B in my book, they should be at the level of at least Ishtar(Along with Izanami). Lilith I know should be 2-B, and I think she should be 2-A, considering she fought end-game Kazuya in SMT I. Mastema is absolutely 2-A, he fought against Tadano, who's one of the strongest protagonists in the series.

sorry, i've been inactive recently,

I don't know about everybody else, but I think the Atlus' mascot(And his royal Hee-ness) should get a profile. Jack Frost gets access to Hama, but the instant kill may fall under NLF or Game Mechanics.

Well, a profile for King Frost would be okay, since we already have the ThanatoSeraph calculation for King Frost power . For Jack Frost, maybe we can scail him to the angel who caused a building level destruction ?

For the angel rating issue. I'm not sure 2-B rating would be okay. If they were 2-B then they will stand no chance again the protagonists who can causes the infinite damages on the multiversal scales. I would probally need the other opinio

@Magi

We can scale Jack Frost from Flynn, or from Aeros who's the embodiment of the wind and should be capable of creating a hurricane.

Do you think mid-tier Flynn and Nanashi should be upgraded to solar system level, if they scale to Vidofnir who can make Yggdrasil float with his light...?

Well, currently we have them at star level for being comparable to demons that they haven't fought.

Nanashi beat Quetzalcoatl(who was level 50 at the time), and he is one of the major Aztec deities along with Tlaloc, Huitzlpotchili, and Tezcatlipoca. Huitzlpotchili's mythology profile is 4-A, and while scaling from mythos to SMT may not be the most accurate, it's a start.

I have more questions about the Divine Powers. I know for a fact Krishna is 2-A(Put him on the Vishnu page?), Inanna is probably 2-A, Maybe even Odin(1 level lower than Baal as a boss) deserves an upgrade! The one guy I'm really confused about is Matreiya, would he be 2-C or 2-A? His normal form is one of the Major Divine Powers, but at the same time, he is fought earlier than the others. His Mitra form is probably 2-A, considering it's fought after Inanna(if she is 2-A).

Scailing SMT profiles to Mythos profiles wont be a great idea at all. If the mythos feats arent a part of SMT compedium lore then i dont think i can considering it as accurated feat at all.

(Put him on the Vishnu page?)

Nah, Kris-chan was his own character in SMT, beside, he has Vishnu-Flynn as his Final Form :p

Maybe even Odin(1 level lower than Baal as a boss) deserves an upgrade!

Knocked Flynn off unconcious is already a good feat for him. So yes, i see no problem with him being 2-A

Odin is definitely 2-A. Isabeau herself admitted that Odin was too strong for them to deal with, and this is end game Isabeau. So yeah, Odin is 2-A.
