Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Spoiler Discussion Thread

Something interesting to note from the translations I read is that Fiora when in Aionios somehow possessed Meyneth's Monado which allowed her to become an admin for Origin. I have no idea how she would have access to Meyneth's Monado but its apparently what all the Monado stuff Lucky Seven has access to is. Only thing we have to learn is if Noah has Matthew's gauntlet. If he did then that would mean Noah would have access to Meyneth's Monado, Pneuma and Malos all at the same time. Mini trinity processor of a character there. My biggest question after all that is what exactly can an Origin Admin do? Takahashi remarks it as "if an admin is involved, anything is possible" but that doesn't really give us a good idea of their exact capabilities. High balled, we could say that they could replicate anything we have seen within Aionios as that would fall under anything. I'm tempted to make a P&A page to try go more in depth about it once I settled on what powers they would have.

Oh boy, more stuff to be incredulous about...

In all seriousness, the most I can say for now is that I don't think Noah has Matthew's Gauntlet, so much as the sheath that Lucky Seven is kept in is just made from the same materials and technology as Origin / Both Lucky Seven and SotE (N) is made from Origin Metals anyway (pedantic distinction, I know) - see "Rule of Cool" for more information.

Speaking of Matthew's Gauntlet... I really need to get around to debunking the whole 'Pneuma's CC' thing at some point, huh? Although given what we're discussing about Mayneth's Monado, I'd say it's not impossible for what Fiora supposedly possessed to be an equivalent to MM (but isn't) after the rebirth of the Bionis / just after Base XC1, just before FC. What Matthew has access to, that people think is Pneuma's Core Crystal, could follow a similar dilemma.

Idk lmao, just spitballing here.

Joycap, it was confirmed that Matthew has the Pneuma core in the gauntlet by Takahashi himself in the Xenoblade 3 artbook that released recently. This is where all I'm talking about is coming from.

In that case, I'll wait on a scan. Got one?

Yeah, I agree with this and it's always been pretty obvious.

On another note, I'll take my small victories and run 😏

Even before that, how do you “debunk” that when that was literally shown in Future Redeemed…?

Because again A) continuity hiccups, and B) Glimmer had the same thing going on and no one bought it up until Matthew whipped it out vs Alpha - and even then Rex's reaction to that fact is far too minimal for his own good / buddy that's your alleged wives you're giving to-

Wait... has the Aionios files translated anything about Rex having multiple wives yet?

A) Uh… No lmao, what hiccups?
B) Glimmer has that because it’s a hereditary trait. Rex literally mentions how Core Crystals are a dominant trait. And the last part is a nothing burger of a response. “He didn’t have the reaction I expected, therefore this idea is false” is a complete non-argument.

I won't lie, I was going to ignore this until I remembered I literally had a segment on this in my Scrapped Saga retrospective script, so... go nuts, ig.

Pages 170ish-onwards, if you're curious for the continuity stuff relevant to this debate. Link to images broke, so here's a clean one.

BTW might as well bump (?) this thread with the fact that I've found more Xeno MUs after watching Symphogear. Have fun ig.

Also I edited the above post with links to a PDF uploader site because linking directly to Discord seems to break after a few days for some reason, so this is better.
Noice noice, yeah discord changed their image thing a bit ago. They drop the URL after a bit to save on storage so most of us just use imgur nowadays.

I was suggested to repost this here:

Nintendo is now being harsher on videos that repost things like tournaments, gameplay sequences, trailers, etc. without "creative or editorial" input.

Why I think this concerns us is that this hurts videos that upload, like, hours of uncommented gameplay, which might start disappearing in the future.
Those videos are very valuable for sourcing feats & stuff.

To my knowledge, most of the XB1 examples are from Chuggaconroy's LPs which are basically good to go. But XB3 and XBX stuff in general may need to replace things with LP specific videos.

Yeah I've noticed. I've already had to replace some links.

Why do I get the feeling that this is going to go down the same route as the 'Anti-AdBlocker' Saga, where they're eventually just going to run out of allocated resources or just get bored of trying to enforce this?

Like, yeah, it should concern those to whom it may... well, concern, but you've seen one of these 'corporation do [insert bad thing]' videos, you've basically seen them all.

On a slightly different note (I know I said I might do my own Xeno CRT at some point, but I've just never found the time), something I did notice about Shulk's FR profile under resistances was this, using Ashera as an example:

I know this seems like a pedantic thing to bring up, but wouldn't a better example of this just be upscaling the whole 'shared life' thing Rex and Pyra had at the beginning of XC2? I know what you're getting at, what with Ashera's injury being the result of a second body, and a second life she's not really supposed to remember - but my only issue with that is how Ashera's antics can make her an unreliable narrator in instances like this (specifically with the whole 'driving someone mad' thing).

Just wondering how we can clarify this / other examples. I find myself reminded of Joran admitting to reliving every other life he had if that counts.

Well Pyra and Rex's case isn't at all related to wounds inflicted by Moebius, so no

Not explicitly, but we've already upscaled every other aspect of Blade physiology for the sake of Moebius/Origin, even if it's disjointed or unrelated to combat. What's one more case?

Not every Moebius upscales from stuff like that, no. N gets it because he has the Logos Core, Z gets it but only with Origin because it runs on the Ontos Core. This isn't the same thing

Perhaps not. Actually, speaking of...

Z gets it but only with Origin because it runs on the Ontos Core.

Now that you type that, do you think we're ever going to get an explanation how Z has control over Ontos's core specifically knowing Alpha/Alvis wanted him erased from existence? I get there's the whole thing about the Avatars (A/Shulk/Rex), but from a continuity perspective I'd also argue that Shulk/Rex becoming heroes in main game means that Z has little to no control over them specifically, implying that 'the Avatar' is potentially a form of resistance to Moebius's powers?

Unless you want to say it was 'the framework' of Ontos that ran Origin and not explicitly Alvis/Alpha, but then there would never be that grace period between Z creating the Endless Now, and Alpha turning up, given how all-encompassing Z's powers are (even with Nia's speech and the kidnapping of Melia taken into account).

Tbh Shulk and Rex being Heroes shouldn't actually be considered canon. It's non-canon fanservice that goes against the story itself

If that means dismissing KOS-MOS in XC2 as 'only fanservice' and not proof of Saga links, I might just take you up on that offer 🤔

Well one has actual in-story contradictions and the other doesn't, so no, that's not how it works. This would just be a whataboutism (so, to head this off in advance, please also don't claim that not applying this to both scenarios is "hypocrisy" when it's as simple as having nuance)

P177 specifically, but rest of P169 onwards is worth a read. If that is what you're referring to.
