Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Spoiler Discussion Thread

Good news for yall. The Xenoblade 3 profiles are close to finishing.

I never got an answer on this

What makes it an outlier?

OUTLIERS ARE OUTLIERS

All joking aside, the logic atm is that we jump straight to that level of scaling the second we meet her, but we see none of those kinds of feats from the Colony 9 gang's past up to that point (recall when we put Ethel at City Block long before the point she's supposed to be here?). Are we seriously insinuating that Random Kevesi Fodder No. 4225 can be put at T1/T2 because Flame Clock / Origin shenanigans?

Personally, I'd go feats per chapter, but idk how much that would bloat the profiles.

We forgetting how Nikol and Glimmer, two random ass soldiers, were capable of fighting opponents that could harm Shulk and Rex?

And is there really any indication that some Consuls are so vastly stronger than others?

That I would immediately chock up to the data they were sending to Riku (amp to Ouroboros etc.). Even then, they weren't exactly confident, and while Shulk says him and Rex 'weren't holding back', there was ultimately no lethal intent, which calls that into question.

Reg. Consol < N & M =< "True Moebius" Z

Even before that, like in the fight with Consul W, Nikol and Glimmer were able to fight alongside Shulk and Rex, taking hits that also damaged them. In addition, we have no reason to go against what's outright stated by Shulk (that being that he and Rex weren't holding back). If that's what he says, we're taking his word for it

You can not hold back and also not aim to kill.
Reg. Consol < N & M =< "True Moebius" Z
Is N and M being so vastly above all the other Consuls supported? The gap doesn't seem to be that much, maybe twice as strong at most (as W doubled his power with two Ferronises, which let him fight Shulk and Rex, who would later fight N), and half of a 2-B/2-A/Low 1-C rating would still be 2-B/2-A/Low 1-C

Alright. The main Xenoblade 3 profiles are basically done unless I'm forgetting something. That's 2/3 sandboxes done and now I just need to finish the sandbox for older characters.

Technically not XC3 but for anyone who has heard of me making that Xenosaga retrospective, I have a semi-important update:

Although to sweeten the deal (public knowledge segments), there's one part of that video on Takahashi's approach to continuity I might let lads and lasses mull over. Any takers?

Currently looking back through the main game XC3 cutscenes and noticed a quote just now about N calling the Annihilator's power 'without equal'. Would this be interpreted as T1/T2 because of the Annihilation Events and what they stand for ('miniature portents' of two incompatible universes)? Or should we calc the sizes of AEVs on a case-by-case basis (assuming they aren't just footnotes)?

Its more so hax than anything. Its a weird line as N himself can withstand Annihilation Events as seen with Alpha's art Cleanse the Dregs.

Possibly.

I'm also giving the new profiles a glance over between viewing the scenes back and all (that, as well as amending my Saga III video script. 185 pages total for that first draft, it is (as you probably saw in the update video)).

I might do a CRT on my disagreements with them, but given that I overheard something about 'spite threads' popping up on the forums so soon after one such submission of other verses, I might wait a couple of weeks or something.

Yeah and I was the one who did all the research, coding, citing, bug fixes, adjustments, etc for all that. I asked several times for a hand but didn't get any.

This might just be my imagined tone of what you've put here, but...

are you okay?

About to say, because there were certainly quotes I put in (N/Ouroboros Noah certainly come to mind), and iirc I floated the Z powers list.

On that note, I'm thinking of throwing together a Ghondor profile at some point? No reason, just came up with an MU for her recently I like the sound of. Any guesses what it takes the form of?

That's 2 lines of code (and very simple code at that) out of a combined total of 800k, plus that Z list was never even used for profiles as it never specified where the powers came from (many of which were not even added such as BDE) which meant I had to go through and do it all manually anyway.
On that note, I'm thinking of throwing together a Ghondor profile at some point? No reason, just came up with an MU for her recently I like the sound of. Any guesses what it takes the form of?
I'm not really one for MU, I prefer making the profiles then seeing what others do with 'em. If you want to make a Ghondor profile though then I'd recommend using Ethel as I made her specifically to flesh out what Heroes would have.

Also, minor suggestion, but could we give N his City level base back? Nothing contradicts it, especially considering it's a central conceit of FR?

No. He fights against Alpha even before doing so. It would be an incredible lowball.

You mean the form he took with Na'el as the driver / fusion etc.? I recall that being a weakened state of sorts (it wasn't either of their peaks, anyway).

Like I said, I'm looking through the scenes now. I don't recall it peaking immediately, anyway

Wha? Do you not remember that the whole point of Alpha getting Na'el as his Avatar was so he could gain power? Rex even comments on how its more powerful then his fight with Alpha. In no way whatsoever would it be weaker as if it was then why would Alpha even bother to do so when he could just use Origin.

Can I put a pin in that? Because I'm starting to think we're referring to two different scenes here.

Not Xenoblade 3 related but it's Xenoblade 2 related, because I find this pretty perplexing honestly...

Why does Amalthus not have a profile?

Edit: I’d 100% make one myself if I knew all the abilities he’s meant to have
