Why is SCP-096 Hypersonic?

I know the justification is that it ran around the world in less than an hour, but I cannot find this quote in the article of the documents linked to it. The closest thing I can find is 096 running at least 100 km (the number is blacked out, but it has 3 digits) in 1 hour.

100km in 3600 seconds is at minimum, 27.78m/s. That is only Superhuman speed at best.

Exactly. I'm thinking that feat may be from a tale, which is why I'm asking in case somebody else more knowledgeable knows.

There was an experiment where they put a prisoner in a submarine deep in the ocean and had him look at a picture of 096 to test the distance at which 096 can sense someone looking at a picture of it. I'll try to find the exact document...

Yeah. I read that one. That's the one with the blanked out 3 digit km and the 1 hour timeframe.

Actually...now that i look i cant find anything on it either, and with a three digit blocked number the absolute fastest it could be through written feats is Subsonic for outrunning attack helicopters and ospreys.

Yeah. 999 km/h in 1 hour is only 277.5 m/s :\. We should probably just scale him to the helicopters unless that's a lower speed than 27.77 m/s (the absolute low-end for the blocked digit feat)

Apparently the fastest helicopters in the world are 131.1 m/s, and it'd probably make sense that the Foundation would be in posession of those.

Yeah i know that, i'm trying to calculate how fast it would have to be going to smash through several houses on accident without slowing down.

I was imagining it could just be very dense considering it takes bullets and such without any real damage other than the shot area.

Yeah never mind, too many variables, not enough known about 096 for it to be legit. So yeah, it should be downgraded to Subsonic, maybe add a possibly higher as well.
