why is reshiram and zekrom considered to be vastly more powerful than mega rayquaza?

on their profiles, it says reshiram and zekrom are vastly more powerful than mega rayquaza. this doesnt seem to make sense because reshiram and zekroms stats are 680, whereas mega rayquaza is 780.

Im most likely wrong but if I remember, we don't use the game stats as a measurement of a Pokemons actual strength lore wise and neither for scaling. I think they both scale to Xerneas who has a feat that's much higher then Mega Rayquaza's meteor busting feat.

Planet level Slaking and Multiversal level Mega Garchomp confirmed. Now seriously, we don't use gameplay statistics to scale characters, otherwise you get obviously inaccurate cases like the one I joked about I believe Zekrom and Reshiram have a considerable fraction of the Power of the Original Dragon, who is supposedly > Every other Dragon-Type, but I might be wrong.

Since the profiles are composite.

Reshiram = Zekrom > Base Kyurem > Shiny Genesect <= Mega Mewtwo > Mega Rayquaza > Deoxys >= Base Mewtwo > Base Rayquaza > Primal Groudon = Primal Kyogre

Reshiram and Zekrom are supposedly stronger Base Kyurem who is the Team Plasma's ultimate weapon which would therefore make him stronger than Shiny Genesect.

Shiny Genesect was able to fight and injure Mega Mewtwo Y in the Genesect movie though overall throughout the fight Mewtwo had the upper hand.

Mega Mewtwo is stronger than Mega Rayquaza because his base form is stronger than Base Rayquaza. Also he briefly held his own against 50% Zygarde who absorbed some power from the fight between Xerneas and Yveltal.

Mega Rayquaza is stronger than Deoxys as shown when he constantly defeats Deoxys throughout the franchise such as in Pokémon generations, ORAS, and PokeSpe.

Base Mewtwo fought and injured Deoxys in the FRLG Arc in PokeSpe but was losing due to Deoxys' form changes.

Deoxys in the Deoxys movie was able to overpower Base Rayquaza pretty easily by itself. And it was also able to take on Primal Groudon, Primal Kyogre and Base Rayquaza by throwing small meteors accompanying Grand Meteor Delta at them in PokeSpe.

Base Rayquaza performed better against Deoxys' meteors than Primal Groudon and Kyogre did in the ORAS Arc in PokeSpe. And I think according to lore he also managed to defeat them both.

but that shiny genesect isn't even remotely the same canon and was also a different mewtwo to the original one and in the games nothing even suggests mewtwo is comparable to base groudon never mind that

I can understand it having "world destroying power" but this just seems like a lot of loopholes to have it be stronger than Mega Rayquaza.


Mewtwo being that strong too sounds fine to me even games wise considering it's status and how strong its treated to be but this just seems like a mess sorry.

The profiles are composite so there is pretty much no such thing as different canon here. Also there's the whole thing with Reshiram and Zekrom potentially being 3-A/Low 2-C because they are the embodiment of the dream world so yeah either way they are stronger than the likes of Mega Rayquaza.

Also shouldn't some legendaries be scaled to the speeds of Solgaleo and Lunaala by chance?


Rayquaza's Dragon Ascent animation has what looks like him zooming into space and making an explosion that engulfs over multiple solar systems, or at least it looks like that.

Also zooming into space instantly.

It came from the manga though it's actually a bit unclear whether or not Zekrom and Reshiram are the literal embodiments of the dream world or if they are merely connected to the dream world.

Yeah there was a talk about that on the discussion thread. Though for now only Perfect Zygarde would scale to the Alola Legendaries.

Also I'm pretty sure somebody said animations aren't usable.
