Why is DCEU Superman’s Heat Vision lightspeed?

Superman has “Speed of Light attack speed via Heat Vision” but the reasons for this aren’t listed

I don’t think it dose either but it dose reflect off of stuff so there’s that and his channeling solar radiation which I’m pretty sure moves at lightspeed or something like that

It was always shown in a straight line, and not to mention with Doomsday, it also has reached space in a span of seconds

The reasons seem to be too basic. As a rhetorical question, how many beams of light share this qualities and yet aren't lightspeed?

I've seen beams with just as much or even more evidence that got rejected... Ghost Ray from Danny Phantom so unless something more concrete is brought up, I'd say it should be removed.
