Why does Ren amamiya have time manipulation resistance?

I'm not doubting it I'm just curious as to why because I can't remember any instances where he faces time manipulation but it's also been forever since I've player persona 5 and could have missed things.

Time stopped when he first arrived in Shibuya, and he was completely unaffected. That, and the cognitive world exists separate from real-time, as shown by Tartarus.

That seems like a weird reason to base time manipulation resistance off of. The first scene could maybe be ren's trip into the other world since it was caused by the app? The scene's kind of ambiguous (granted there could be an explanation i'm over looking.) and how does the cognitive world existing separate from real time give him time manipulation resistance? Edit: should note I'm not trying to revise anything just asking some questions.

Same reason things that follow different rules of causality have acausality, I guess. I'm sure someone else can explain it better.
