Who made the moon ?

I'm curious, who created the Moon in Narutoverse ? Hagoromo and Hamura or Hagoromo alone ? We know that they used the seals against the Juubi which means that they created a Moon similar to Naruto and Sasuke did, but in TL and the novel it was said that Hagoromo created the Moon cuz he knew that the Juubi could bring trouble to the Earth. So what's the true story ?

I can't remember. On their pages it says they both did it but I've also heard the sage did it himself.

I'm also curious on what's the real story.

No, both of them did it as clarified by the databook and the later events in the manga.

The story that Hagoromo did it by himself is a legend and how the humans distorted the event, not what actually happened in the lore.

Hagoromo created the moon. What Hagoromo and Hamura created after defeating Kaguya wasn't the moon, it was a temporary construct. Remember, the moon wasn't created until after the So6P split the 10 tails into the tailed beasts at the end of his life and sealed the remains (Gedo Statue).

Either that or there should be two moons and Kishimoto kept retconing the story because he was pulling it out of thin air.

Then there should be two moons, unless he split the tail beasts and sealed the statue in the same moon he and his brother made, but why even meddle with the ten tails and make the tailed beasts. And he was the ten tails' jichuuriki, did he become it when he initially sealed it with Hamura or did he remove the ten tails (for what reason tho) and seal it inside himself, just to remove it and split it into nine tailed beasts...killing himself in the process?

The juubi remains got sealed not the tailed beasts themselves. Hag had them sealed inside of him

It was never stated that the Ten Tails was sealed inside the Moon as far as I recall, only the Gedo Mazo, which is why Hamura went to the Moon - in order to watch over the vessel.

I see, I see. Not sure why he had to retcon an already fine backstory but I suppose with the inclusion of Hamura that some things needed to be redone.

The Gedo Statue is only the Ten Tails' husk. It's Chakra was split into the 9 other tailed beasts.
