It's often argued that Kirby defeats villains who use powerful reality warping, but that's claimed without actually making it clear that villain A or B doesn't use magic instead. So, how can that be known?

It can't be Nightmare, as he needs to corrupt the Fountain of Dreams in order to torment Dream Land.
It can't be Sectonia, as she needs to use her scepters in order to perform some of her attacks.

I don't think there is a difference between magic and reality warping to be honest, if there is it's not well defined enough in our wiki.
