Webby Vanderquack (2017) vs Bubblie [GRACE]

So Webby has about a 1.55263490459 x AP advantage, which isn't a lot but it does give her that. She also is probably generally smarter than an average King Bubblie, and the Acrobatics and her equipment give her some mobility and range to help with the fact King Bubblie will float around and use range as well. Plus when at full HP King Bubblies do sometimes fall asleep, so they may not take the fight very seriously at first, giving Webby an opportunity to start the fight on her terms.

But outside of that, I feel Webby is just generally outclassed in every other regard, and King Bubblie can even negate the AP advantage pretty heavily.

'Muscle Enhancement's nuke damage alone will end the fight if it ever lands, but even if Webby manages to avoid it any time its thrown out, she still has to deal with the after effects of King Bubblie giving itself a 3x boost temporarily. Plus the fact that they're fighting 1v1 means in-character King Bubblie will almost certainly activate 'Lone Force', which is also a 3x boost that it maintains for the entire length of a normal battle, Webby would have to outlast for a decent amount of time to get the AP advantage back. King Bubblie will be effectively around 2x stronger than Webby almost all the time, with bursts of having even higher AP.

Plus, Orb Comboing means Damage Boosting will give even more bursts of strength beyond the advantage 'Lone Force' gives. Coupled with the Mass Attack AOE which gives King Bubblie control over a larger area will mean Webby's movement options will be less useful and she's more likely to take a pretty hard hit, and King Bubblie also has the defensive options of making forcefields to block attacks and use the Heal Orbs to heal itself, which considering Webby's AP advantage was already slim will make it a challenge to wear down. Plus monsters in PAD are just generally effective fighters, so while I think Webby is smarter, she doesn't seem like she'll be outskilling enough to deal with that many problems AND wear King Bubblie down.

King Bubblie more easily dishes out more damage, command more of the battlefield, and can defend itself with its abilities. Plus King Bubblie has a possible one-shot option that Webby's only answer to is: Dodge it every time. Webby's one main advantage, AP, is both slim and King Bubblie has abilities that swing that back in its favor. I think King Bubblie probably will take this.

In what ways specifically?
she doesn't seem like she'll be outskilling enough
Webby is pretty dang skilled in combat, having been trained in combat for basically her entire life by her grandmother, who was a spy who almost single-handedly took down an entire organization of villains. She also has gone to an island once every year to hone her survival skills iirc.

In what ways specifically?
As I listed above: She loses her AP advantage almost instantly, King Bubblie controls the battlefield with AOE attacks, King Bubble can boost its AP advantage on even further, one of King Bubblie's attacks is just going to be one-shot if it ever lands, and it can both block attacks with the forcefield and heal up damage done which at such a close AP difference means its going to be a drag-out for Webby.

All noted, but her starting AP advantage is only slim, only a few of her abilities seem combat applicable here, and her gear only gives her range and mobility which King Bubblie shares. King Bubblie's not just a monster who would be a threat for Dragon Tamers and Rangers, so a competent threat to begin with, but is just commanding the battlefield very effectively due to its abilities. I agree 100% she's certainly more intelligent, but King Bubblie has options to limit Webby's ability to dodge, hits harder, potentially one-shot her, blocks hits, and can casually heal itself. I just don't see her outskilling to enough of a degree that she's going to dodge enough hits and survive enough AOEs, break its forcefields, and wear out its ability to heal with such a slim AP advantage when King Bubblie can very casually deal much more damage thanks to Damage Boosting abilities.

Hmm... Could Webby's Stealth Mastery be useful here? She could successfully ambush Huey, Dewey, and Louie on several occasions, albeit the Duck boys aren't the brightest bunch. But they are fighting in a big city.

Probably not? King Bubblie's Enhanced Senses may be getting a CRT to increase their effectiveness in all situations (TLDR, Orb users can always see what they're specifically looking for), which might totally negate Stealth Mastery.

But even if it doesn't, there's a list of issues. First of all she needs to back off to get into a position to hide. King Bubblie's range is FAR higher than Webby's, so there's no distance she'll realistically be able to back off at that King Bubblie won't be able to take ranged pot-shots at her until she's out of line of sight. Fight starting at 5 meters means it's going to be a lot of trouble unless she positions herself mid-fight near cover first. TLDR: Getting out of King Bubblie's range AND line of sight might risk attacks, especially Mass Attacks which would be extra bad.

And even if she gets into cover to hide, it's not like that gives her a massive advantage. She's still only slimly ahead in AP, so an ambush attack won't make a lot of progress, plus King Bubblie's range means it will always be in range to counter attack any attempts she goes for. Which again, a Mass Attack in revenge is going to hurt more and be harder to dodge, so if King Bubblie shoots that out Webby's not going to be having a good time.

Plus, while she might catch King Bubblie off guard without its forcefield once, King Bubblie's probably not going to be dumb enough to let that happen twice and start shielding more once it realizes what she's doing. Plus thanks to healing, it's going to be a slow grind to hit and run or set up ambush attacks to wear down an opponent who's durability is almost the same as her AP.

Webby's kinda delaying the inevitable, she's going to hit roadblocks dealing lasting damage, while always risking a decently stronger AOE explosion or a stray one-shot attack from Muscle Enhancement that could end the fight then and there in retaliation. Plus, she gets hit with a Mass Attack or a damage boosted ram or energy blast? She doesn't have King Bubblie's luxury of quick healing.

True. I'm guessing your voting for Bubblie. I'll vote for him too.

At least for now I am. King Bubblie's fighting style is just...brainlessly easy here and all should be within in-character things PAD monsters do. Webby has to work a lot harder to wear King Bubblie down which, unfortunately, means it's very likely she's going to get caught in one too many Mass Attack explosions, take stray shots, or worst case scenario being slammed with that Muscle Enhancement attack.
