Wave vs Penny (Speed Equalized)

He is the better of the two when it comes to hand-to-hand combat. Physical strength is roughly the same.

Nothing with any character is based on anything but manga except for some gifs and photos and some of the beginning episodes.

I understand that, but it's the closest we have to an actual timeframe.

Still, I suppose that's a pretty quick transformation then if the manga is the only source (but the anime followed the manga up to a certain point too).

But you keep treating Penny as if she's utterly inferior to Wave. She really isn't. She never showed any signs of strain throughout her fight with Pyrrha and was simply smiling and enjoying herself the whole time. Sure, Pyrrha was fatigued and being driven insane by the responsibilities placed upon her, but she was giving it her all, so you can't say that Penny is inferior in close combat. Plus, they're exactly tied in overall specs, and Multi-City Block level can still hurt Multi-City Block level, and Wave was getting his rear handed to him until he activated Mastema.

Even the he was still heavily scuffed up by the end of the fight while Tatsumi barely had a scratch on him. If anything, his AP won't be enough to put Penny down.

I'm not putting her down in the slightest. But you can't compare Pyrrha, who would get beat by Wave, with Wave. They aren't the same. Ones a trained combatant of years of practice fighting. The other is a trained combatant and assassin with actual fighting experience.

Except she also took on the Fall Maiden, who is one of the single deadliest characters in all of Remnant and put up a decent fight despite being physically, emotionally, and mentally drained. She lost, but she made Cinder go "oh ****" on more than one occasion, which is more than the rest of the cast can say sans Ruby. Pyrrha is still one of the most skilled fighters on multiple continents and took on someone way above her weight class and still managed to put up a fight, which is much more than Wave can say (getting stomped by Tatsumi before clashing exactly once and leaving with bruises and scrapes all over while Tatsumi was left with barely a scratch).

Not to mention the fact that Penny still has a very significant range advantage and the fact that Wave was never shown using God's Wings, meaning that he has no defense against being blasted to oblivion. You can't imply that he has it since he was never ever shown using it past its speed and flight component.

They're both MCB so yeah. This is an ok fight. Though, is there a verdict reached here? I mean more than half of this was prior to MCB RWBY methinks.

Speed equalized though. But yeah, my bad. Wave is CB in AP, MCB in dura while Penny is MCB in AP, Atleast MCB in dura.

Wave can fly though so there's that.

And Penny has several ranged attacks to compensate. If anything this should just be taken off their profiles since Penny got upgraded.

It should also be kept in mind the battle with Tatsumi has not been calced, so his info is spotty at best.

The feat doesn't even look city block level and is actually not calculable fromt he looks of it. You could only see the dust and fragments of rocks floating around. You can't calc anything with just that. The only thing that you can calc are the destructions of the pillars which will come with rather bad results.

´┐╝we already know that blowing apart pillars is easy for these two. But here's something interesting. The explosion is bigger then a three story building and not only that the angle this is at makes it look smaller then it is. And if we had too, just powerscale since they are both CB they should get MCB by powerscaling.

I don't even think Wave should get half since he was terribly beaten up after the ordeal while Tatsumi wasn't, implying that more the force applied to the former rather than the latter.

Only reason he got beat is because he was 1: Trying to get to Kurome 2: He was angry which makes him sloppy (note his weaknesses) 3: Waves Grand Fall is Large Building to low end City Block level. So naturally, Grand Fall Flugal will be more powerful also given the height he fell from.

Wave was already beat up prior to using Mastema Grand Fall though, but yeah. It looked rather one-sided.

Stronger than low end City Block level does not make you Multi-City Block level.
Then calc how far and fast he fell. Also, keep in mind, Tatsumi, if he was fast enough, could have dodged that. Reason he didn't dodge? Most likely because Wave hit him at just the moment he brought up Neuntöte.

Bruh, Wave is around 5800 times stronger than Penny at this point with Dual Teigu.

Town level vs MCB.
