The wikis current documentation of both the Primarchs' power and various other characters that scale to them are heavily inaccurate and negatively affect the wiki's credibility. The Primarchs at present are all documented to be 4-B, or solar system level. This level of attack potency is derived from Sanguinius being capable of fighting Madail the Undivided. Which inside a RuinStorm was capable of making "a fortress billions of miles wide and millions of miles tall, a collection of impossible objects of non-euclidean shape millions and billions of miles in size which were larger than a said fortress, and the Necrosphere, a dome of bones enclosing an entire solar system."

While the feat in question has indeed been calced at 4-B, we must remember that this occurred within a RuinStorm, within the Warp. The Immatierum, or the Warp as it is more commonly known, is a realm of "purely psychic energy that echoes and underlies the familiar four dimensions of the material universe." The psychic energy that makes up the Immaterium is the direct result of sentience in the universe, particularly the intelligent species of the Milky Way Galaxy. Considered to be a dark reflection of the material universe, the Warp is an ocean of chaotic psychic energy, raw emotion given physical form. This is directly responsible for both the immense power of the comatose Emperor of humanity and the Chaos gods themselves. Byproducts of life's sapient emotions within the milky way galaxy. Moreover, it is likely only the life that exists within the galaxy that fuels the Immaterium. It is implied that the Tyranids have consumed most of the Cosmos' remaining life; although this is unconfirmed, they have, however, at least consumed "thousands of galaxies." Regardless, the belief in the Emperors' status as a god, by the Emperium, which is comprised of trillions of humans, is capable of elevating the God-Emperor to a level of power so vast that he can prevent the Chaos gods from consuming realspace. Each member of the ruinous powers is capable of creating and controlling structures of any dimensional size, such as an infinite-dimensional realm of thought and metaphor that is far above the combined knowledge and essence of the material universe, which already contains a myriad of higher dimensions so great that they "cannot be defined by so limited a thing as human language." and existing "beyond the very concepts of time and space, with the Warp's true nature being an utterly formless, dimensionless void without limits or true geography, with the only dimensions it or its inhabitants have being ones they choose to impose upon it or themselves."

Every single thought or feeling a sentient being has is both consciously and subconsciously manifested in some fashion in the Warp. Every single human emotion becomes a daemon; every metaphor becomes a literal meaning. Every sentient being, wishes, dreams, desires, fears, and nightmares are incarnated. Slannesh was unironically created by the Eldar engaging in far too much sexual depravity.

This brings us to the nature of daemons; all of the demons that belong to one of the chaos gods are effectively part of it, in the same way,, that cells are part of a human organism. While Daemons are immaterial creatures off the Warp, they are still organisms, organisms that subsist on emotion. The Daemons of the various chaos gods literally derive their power and sustenance from the emotions produced by sentient beings. This is also funnily enough; the reason demons can't just magically manifest themselves in the material world whenever they want; they need physical energy and lots of it. This means that while inside the Warp, greater daemons such as Ka'bandha are living gods. Within the Immaterium or eye of terror, however they are far weaker when manifesting themselves in the real world, as merely existing in the material world drains them of power.

Thus, the feats presented by Madail the Undivided and Ka'bandha being done in the eye of terror, or in the RuinStorm, do not scale to their material forms base statistics, and therefore Sanguinius. We must also note that Madail was attempting to turn Sanguinius to Chaos and not kill him, which makes scaling Sanguinius to him directly a little dubious.

This brings us to the topic of the Primarchs directly. The
Primarchs are the genetically-engineered transhuman "sons" of the Emperor of Mankind created in the late 30th Millennium. They were intended to be the immortal and superhuman generals and proconsuls who would command the Emperor's Great Crusade to reunite the scattered Human race beneath His leadership. Their genomes later served as the genetic templates from which the Emperor crafted His 20 Space Marine Legions.

"The Primarchs were bred to be perfect generals, warriors, and statesmen; larger, stronger, faster, and smarter than any normal human could ever hope to be. They possessed a potent charisma and martial prowess that made them like the mythical gods of old, untouchable by disease, old age, or supposedly the petty failings of lesser men."

The Primarchs genetic enhancements made them far stronger than both Astartes and Custodes, with Sanguinius being stated to move "Faster then the eye could follow" and "moved so fast; the Apothecary had barely registered the movement." Astartes have reaction times far superior to regular humans, with Sangouuis full speed "Letting it speed him towards terminal velocity." The current Primarchs statistics are spot on in this regard. As for strength/ durability feats, Sanguinius landings fall "with an impact greater than a point-blanc barrage from a Vindicator" vindicators being large siege tanks, and Ka'bandha is capable of causally flipping over a Rhino, an armored transport. "Ka'bandha gave a wordless shout of anger, shouldering aside a stalled Rhino, flipping the armored transport onto its roof." And Sanguinius tanked an explosion that rag-dolled him without injury, although the event adds further credence to the fact that current scaling is absurd. "Sanguinius was sent flying backward by the shockwave, slamming him into his throne." Angron, another Primarch, was capable of killing several dozen Eldar by himself as a child, although he received severe injuries in the process.

Angron later on, now an adult, survived the grueling implementation of the Butcher's Nails implants, which required a large portion of his skull to be broken (further adding credence to the previous arguments)

Now that we've returned to the topic, it seems prudent to also mention that during Vulcans meeting with the Emperor, Vulkan was genuinely scared of death when dangling over the edge of a volcano; all of these feet, while impressive, provide insurmountable evidence that the current level of scaling present for most of the Primarchs is incorrect, this extends towards the scaling of many other characters that are scaled to various Primarchs. I feel as though it is important to revise the pages in question, seeing as the basis for much of 40ks current scaling is incorrect, to begin with, this logic is actually applied to some pages already, with Magnus the reds page being a perfect example, with him having a page separate from his appearance in the warp.

Very late here so I am giving this thread only the most minimalist reply I can, but yes. We know about these problems. We are actively waiting out on how to fix them until the Siege of Terra ends and we have the entire outline of the Horus Heresy for use. We have purposefully delayed these revisions specifically for that purpose.

To repeat what Crab said: Yes, these are all correct points, but we've been putting it off until the Siege is done and we have all the material to work with.

What the others have said, their tiers will be changed but we are waiting for stuff to complete.

The first volume of the End and the Death, the final book of the Siege, released a while ago. We're waiting on volume 2 now.

There's just one book left and it's set to come out around August according to Amazon pre-order dates.

But idk could be longer.

Most of the current ratings for the non-Warp stuff is getting axed though.

didn't Ferrus Manus level an entire mountain range in his fight with the emperor when he discover him? Now granted we didn't have an exact time frame for the feat and laid waste is a vague enough statement on how bad the mountain got beat up but that should still be higher than 8-C At least for primarch and all those who can harm them.

Afaik the only source for them fighting comes from Index Astartes, which does not mention that
What actually occurred when the two Divine beings met is unknown. The myths surrounding the meeting of these two most powerful and heroic of figures revolve around a clash of wills and power that tore the land asunder. Many of the myths relate to how when Ferrus saw the Emperor, he recognised him an equal. He strode up the mountains to confront him, confident of his own abilities and wishing to test them against this personage of obvious power. In the ensuing conflict, the two godly beings were evenly matched in all ways, neither being able to better the other. The awesome confrontation of power devastated the landscape, shattering the very heavens and earth alike. Regardless of details, all stories agree that when the two figures came down from the great nothern mountains, the bond and mutual respect between them was unwavering.
The only thing that ever comes up with Mountain Ranges is this obvious mythic tale
No one could match his strength of arm, try as he might to find a worthy opponent. He sought out every physical challenge that he could, always coming out victorious. According to one often recounted mythic tale, he once challenged a Storm Giant to a competition of strength. The giant lifted a mountain between his hands and set it back down a mile away. The giant's laugh died as Ferrus lifted the entire mountain range onto his back, carrying it to a neighboring island. The humbled giant was never seen again.
To add, there's no indication that what Ferrus fought was a C'tan shared. This was further jossed in Infinite and the Divine where the following is stated
And above all those stasis-displays floated a great metal conqueror wyrm, seeded on planets the necron fleet bypassed to hunt their population to extinction.
He fought off a Necron Wyrm that the used to destroy planets not worth the time of the actual army.

Unironically tier 7 for Primarchs is consistent and Massively inconsistent at the same time

There isn’t really a true consistent tier for the Primarchs they are genuinely all over the place.

Abby has a good aized collection of Primarch feats iirc and they range from like 9-A to like 6-A lol

Shit like this is why I'm glad to be a Warcraft dude because there are so many Tier 7 feats that actually scale that there's no way to actually downgrade them from Tier 7 without straight up downplay

There is another statement from when Ferrus fought Fulgrim and both were said to fight with "the strength to defeat armies and topple mountains" but them being able to destroy mountains is a pretty big outlier imo since event he lowest end for mountain busting feats is like low 7-b iirc

in that case just put Tier 8, possible/likely tier 7
Funnier thing is that even tier 8 scaling is a mess because sometimes they get hurt by stuff that would be High 8-C, sometimes they say stuff that's 8-A+ is completely useless against them and no-sell it with no difficulty, and sometimes stuff that's 8-B can knock them down and harm them. Then there's the other times Consistency is a joke apparently to Black Library.

While true, there's a vast difference between "These guys can topple a mountain" vs "This fight resulted in entire mountain ranges being destroyed". Plus tbf, the weapons they were using have their own independent mountain statements.
The primarchs’ weapons, forged in brotherhood, but wielded in vengeance, met in a blazing plume of energy, and the battlefield was illuminated for hundreds of metres by their ferocious energies. The two primarchs traded blows with their monstrously powerful weapons, the strength to defeat armies and topple mountains unleashed as they fought like gods forced to end their dispute in the realm of mortals. Ferrus Manus wielded his flaming blade in fiery slashes, his every blow defeated by the ebony hafted hammer he had borne in countless campaigns.

Then there's the other times Consistency is a joke apparently to Black Library.
  • Custodes in some stories: Struggle to fight two Minotaur Space Marines, gets falcon punched by World Eater, doesn't know of they can defeat a Space Marine 1 vs 1, can barely handle a single squad of Dark Angels and struggles fighting standard Blademaster in a duel
  • Custodes in other stories: Demolished a Tyranid Hive Fleet lead by the Swarmlord, 5 custodes and 10 SoS kill hundreds to thousands of Black Legionaries while stuck in a single room, demolish Ork WAAGH that previously defeated three primarches and Legion detachments and once killed a dozen Chaos Daemons in a fraction lf a nanosecond
Idk man seems consistent to me

Then we have to take into consideration the GW cop-out that state thing from the book and codex can straight up be wrong or just in-universe propaganda. Which make accurately scaling these character an absolute nightmare.

Also, can we have more scaling for various weapons and war machines? I would really like to know how hard a Bolter or las-gun hit.

Then there's the other times Consistency is a joke apparently to Black Library.
I just realized I forgot to finish the sentence I half wrote there. What that was supposed to say was: "then there's the other times where Primarchs walk through literal nukes, with one of them being exterminatus grade and it doing nothing but chipping the paint on Guilliman's armor"

Damn, this sounds like a nightmare to scale. I have heard that one time a Solitaire maimed tons of Custodians when they intruded into the palace? But apperently the writer ****** up and it was supposed to be Lucifer Blacks that were killed by the Solitaire?

I think yes

Tbf that story isnt nearly as bad when you actually read it

Was a group of them and not one. But they were all killed or captured in the end tbf.
But apperently the writer ****** up and it was supposed to be Lucifer Blacks that were killed by the Solitaire?
That is a common claim online, but the story itself actually mentions the Blacks by name and has them be a seperate thing from Custodes.

Yeah the Blacks get pretty messed up, some Custodes do die but most of it comes from Eldar Shuriken Cannons wielded by extremely skilled warriors so its not exactly crazy.

Plus as you mentioned all of the Eldar are killed besides the Farseer who wished to speak to Big E to warn him iirc.

I don't know why people get so hung up about Custode dying to Eldar Solitaire, they are the equivalent of Custode for the Eldar after all, They got better tech as well so it is not out of the question for them to be able to kill Custode but every time people just get dismissive about it.

Guess the Eldar has been the punching bag for so long that anything they do which isn't a failure rubs people the wrong way.
