(VERY IMPORTANT) Re-Doing Cloud Heights

Current Cloud Height Page:https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Cloud_Calculations#Cloud_Height
Archive: https://archive.li/Vx10D

Current cloud heights are not accounting the climate in which the clouds were measured, and that can affect the value MASSIVELY. For example, High Cloud, e.g. Cirrus Clouds, have an altitude 3-8 km in Polar Regions, 6-18 km in Tropical Regions, and 5-14 km in temperate regions. The Cloud Page should be updated with these new values. Furthermore, we are missing several clouds such as Cirrocumulus, Cirrostratus, Altocumulus, and Altostratus.

Oh my god, there's even an archived link.

I kneel...

Should point out that cloud altitude depends on the cloud type as well.

Then again, last time I tried doing a cloud-based CRT (specifically for storms), DontTalkDT thinks the NOAA, the guys who know weather from the inside out, is "Farmer Brown", so what would I know?

I will inform Therefir regarding this since he was the one who proposed some changes on how Cloud calculations are used and changes were made, but I don’t see why Climates for clouds would have much of a impact when we already accounting for differentiated cloud heights at any place to begin with from the thread I has some participation in as well.

Edit: Heck, Clover went through the sources for cloud heights as well.

Cirrus clouds in polar regions are 3-8 km above sea level while in temperate regions they are 5-14 km above sea level. Polar's average is 5.5 km and the other is 9.5 km. That is a huge difference.

These sound like worthwhile changes, but I'm not sure how to determine which sources are the most reliable for this sort of thing.

Pretty much in the same boat as Agnaa here.

The region is important to consider along with the type of clouds, but I cannot really say anything more.
