The last Metroid is in captivity...but unfortunaly it has been stolen by the evil space pirate Ridley. News of this theft spreds quickly throught the criminal undreworld of the galaxy and many see this as an opportunity, or at least they would if not for Ridley's reputation making anyone with half a brain come to the conclusion that stealing from Ridley is a stupid idea. But one man is not so easily deturred, Vegeta the prince of the endangerd Saiyan race makes his way to planet Zebes, home of the space pirates. With Frieza owning the monopoly on selling planets the prince most find another way to make a profit, and anything made by the Chozo is bound to be worth a fortune espesilly if it's the last of it's kind. And he cares very little for rumors and reputation, If some robot bontyhunter can beat him then surely the prince of the Saiyans can. As Vegeta makes his final approache Ridley can sence that his time of rest will soon end. The Galaxy...is not at peace.

Saiyan Saga Vegeta vs Meta Ridley

Location: Zebes

Another thread putting Ridley against a Dragon Ball character? Anyway, Ridley LOL stomps using Phazo hax.

Meta Ridley should, he appeared in Prime 1, which Phazon enhanced enemies have been around since that game; albeit not as brokenly haxed as the sequels. But Meta-Ridley still attacks using Phazon energy which should effect Phazon fever to those who don't have resistance to it. Meta-Ridley's Phazon abilities should be superior to the Omega Pirate since that was the boss who gave Samus the Phazon Suit, which is > Gravity Suit. And Samus fought Ridley using the Phazon Suit.

Buddy if you want to argue about Meta Ridley having Phazon then please make a content revison. If it's changed the I'll close the thread, but unlit then it's not a hax stomp.

I thought he did, wasn't Ridley also enhanced with Phazon from the Tallon IV Leviathan? Additionally, he's superior to Omega Pirate who and the 2nd most powerful boss in the original Prime. He didn't have Phazon at the beginning of Prime 3 because he lost his Phazon, but he did in Prime 1 iirc. Or at the very least, he has resistance to Phazon as he was able to put up a good fight against Phazon Suit Samus.

Nope, he did not have it at all in Prime 1. Phazon Suit Samus (ironically) doesn't naturally have Phazon hax so that's also a no.

@Cal I mean, massive AP advantage given the scaling. He also doesn't mess around (Unless you count Other M, but he also had mind manip and lacked any intelligence, so not sure if it counts). If he manages to eat parts of Vegeta he would also start regening rather quickly.

Okay, then Ridley should still take this. They have relatively equal AP and Durability. Vegeta's equal to Goku Kaioken x3, who's superior to Nappa in even in base, who's far superior to Raditz, who's superior to pre-training Piccolo (w/o training gear) Who's > Pre-training Piccolo with training gear. But Meta-Ridley > Omega Pirate who fought Gravity Suit Samus who's > Varia Suit Samus >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Her own Power Bombs >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Tallon Metroid's. But Ridley is smarter being both a tactical and mechanical genius, while Vegeta may be a combat genius, but he's reckless and arrogant. Ridley's also got Mid regen, and Temporary Invulnerability to use to his advantage.

"Ridley's also got Mid regen" Ki attacks are able to destroy things at least on the Cellular level so this is kind of moot.

Yeah, that's very in character of him. That's not even sarcasm. Vegeta's quite capable of doing that. In fact, pretty sure every instance of him finishing off someone uses that.

Plus many failed times such as against Cell and Goku. I think he also used giant Ki blast spam against Freeza, with the actual blasts being significantly larger than Freeza's actual body.

Funny thing is, the one time Vegeta decapitated someone, which wouldn't bypass Ridley's regen, he still followed up with a full body blast on Guildo out of spite.

Is there anyone he hasn't done this to?
Basically only to people he knew. And even then not often. Hell even with Cabba, after he taught him what he wanted to teach him, he one shot him.

Supposedly. However, Vegeta's just willingness to blow stuff up and unwillingness to take hits (Such as realizing Destructo disc was lethal and telling Nappa to dodge) should help even it a bit

well considering the fact that Vegeta has done the full body explosion on people weaker than him, and Ridley is considered on par with vegeta via the scaling, I can only see it happening when he goes great ape, and that's if Ridley doesn't try to finish the job before he makes the fake moon.

In that scenario, I cannot say anything since I... didn't play the Metroid where this Ridley appears. Does this Ridley use sheer AP a lot or no?

Considering he spams the hell out of his energy blasts and missiles, he charges at his opponents all the time, and one of his more unique attacks is him grabbing his opponent only to blast them in the face with either his laser beams or fire breath, yeah. He's pretty vicious in combat.

I'd say it's inconclusive since it can go either way. Either Ridley overwhelms vegeta and eventually gets the upper hand, or vegeta lasts long enough to use the fake moon and beats Ridley.

It should be mentioned that both feats they are scaled from are relatively equal (69.69 zettatons vs 73.14 zettatons), so it really depends on whether you consider the Meta Ridley scaling or the Vegeta scaling list longer.

Yeah, they're relatively on par in terms of AP; both scale do to being far superior in an A > B > C loop. Anyway, Vegeta mostly does his vaporization against characters much weaker than him; and are smaller than Ridley. Meaning Ridley would inherently require more energy to to destroy. Also, Ridley does have the stamina advantage. Ridley can grow his arms and arms back, while Vegeta can't. Also, Vegeta using his strongest attacks would require quite a bit of energy to do. Not to mention Ridley's a tactical genius who actively tries to dodge; and has dealt with Samus's stellar AoE Arm Cannon on a regular basis.

Also, SD forget that Samus in her Phazon Suit actually still has some degree of Phazon hax. Not anything compared to the sequels, but Phazon Beam still ignores conventional durability and destroys enemies on an atomic scale at the very least. Meta-Ridley still resists that. Also, actually, I noticed the OP has the location set in Zebes. The 960 G's is probably going to be weighing Vegeta down a lot. So you might want to change location to Earth, Planet Vegeta, or anywhere but Zebes or Tallon IV because Ridley stomps if it's the last 2 locations.

Again, she doesn't have phazon hax in the phazon suit, its ironic, I know, but she only gets phazon's hax when phazon is around, and there wasn't any when she fought Meta Ridley.
