The interesting part is that Vegeta didn't have an exaggerated reaction on Goku's power like he did with his SSB kaoiken against hit.

^^He's not hiding something, unlike when goku showed SSB kaioken, Whis already explained to them both what the mastery of self-movement is, even in the dbs manga. Vegeta probably got suprised by how Goku improved meanwhile he fights.
