Battlefield 3
The Ever-Violent's horrific war machine has visited a world inhabited by one known simply as a 'Lucky Guy', in his sleep- and his presence as a defiant anomaly, a hole in the law of the world, draws him and their leader into conflict like moths to flame before long. Unentschlossener Wahnsinn and Reggy enter battle to its bitter end, and only one leaves standing.

Speed is Equalized, and starting distance is at 500 meters in a former-rural desert wasteland akin to the one pictured, but SBA otherwise applies.

Can the plucky Peerless Gambler's endless arsenal of tricks and logic-defying luck overcome the sheer, overwhelming presence of the Pagan King, or is this world, too, doomed? Be sure to explain your reasoning in the comments, remain civil, etc.

  • Unentschlossener Wahnsinn:
  • Reggy:

Unless Wahnsinn is a smurf or some shit, he gets lucked out of existence. This isn't even counting the fact that i don't even think Wahnsinn can hit Reggy, much less deal with the conceptual death hax that i believe he opens with if his luck doesn't work.

Ain't seeing how Wahnsinn gets dropped automatically when his whole kit and being is also beyond causality and fate compared to Reggy's luck being the sole ability that can actually defy and be void of cause and effect all together; On top of his luck having no listed feats so potent that it can literally nope someone with the same properties altogether. Wahnsinn can more than certainly interact him if push comes to shove in close quarters.

Insta-death or fatal blows also ain't foreign to Wahnsinn with Verbotenes Wisse and Geiteskranken Priester having multiple attacks and techniques with varied though similar outcomes to Reggy's only to be countered and overpowered by Wahnsinn's own techniques.

With the death manipulation being conceptual, the move more than likely gets resisted with Wahnsinn's already drastic and heavy resistance to abilities on that scale. Added with Wahnsinn also having the capabilities to negate Reggy's resistances via magical and non magical methods to leverage a greater advantage.

Primary counters to Wahnsinn could be Reggy's shield that negates magic though it also in turn force Wahnsinn to use more powerful attacks to remedy the situation. Unentschlossener also packs decades more experience and combat savviness over Reggy if terms of their intelligence coming to play and developing strategies.

Reggy's luck is literally infinite. If something has a non-zero chance of happening, even if it is unlikely on quantum scales, it will happen if it's beneifical for him. It's not possible? The luck retroactively affects stuff to make it possible, although that probably won't help here.

The death hax works on beings that lack a concept of death and ignores space and distance, just as an fyi.

Reggy is drastically outskilled ye, the issue is that skill isn't even remotely close to the defining factor here.

The chances, however, are effectively zero percent. With Reggy's luck being used against Wahnsinn, who doesn't follow or even adhere to fate or probability for it to even be a factor in drastically changing his chances of victory.

Helped by the fact that Reggy's luck is the only thing that is Acausal within his powers and abilities and not something that spreads to others attacks whenever its active.

On the Luck, its seeming incredibly NLF if it can dash aside of abilities or characters it has never encountered within its own verse or even showcased to make regular attacks hit acausal characters on Wahnsinn's level. Especially with Wahnsinn having the same kind of properties to his power.

Wouldn't that only apply to the luck retroactive changing stuff?

That is true. The luck is basically Reggy's only win con here.

The luck is from this guy. I don't exactly see why it wouldn't work against stuff it hasn't encounted when said stuff isn't inherently ******* over the luck or anything like that.

Is it really Reggy's only Win Condition? He has multiple sheets of powers, and his Luck being also Type 5 Acausal/letting him activate things at the Type 5 Acausal level would lead me to believe at least that there's at least the potential to find a crack in the shell somewhere. Wahnsinn only resists so many types of powers, anywho (admittedly, he resists most of the important ones: Law Manip., for instance.)

How good is Reggy's resist to Mind Control? From what I understand, SIEGE big boys like Wahnsinn have an aura of it just floating around them that immobilizes people (a decent part of why it's hard to find them matches.)

@Perp, Doubtful of mind manipulating coming into play with Reggy's and other servants resistances.

The other abilities would only come into if they are capable of affecting Wahnsinn on a similar scale. His Luck is explicitly the only ability that remains Acausal and is more suited to being always active compared to being able to suddenly grant Acausality to Reggy's other powers when in use.

It's also only active if the chances of something are not zero percent.

Which is a effective certainty for Wahnsinn due to being outside of anything resembling probability that can be changed or altered for a disadvantage to begin with. Added with Wahnsinn being able to attack on the conceptual level as well to deal with the problem of his luck directly and make the skill gap bigger between the two with his Psychometry if it is ever needed.
