Confirmation that it is indeed solar flares.
(If it were not actual solar flares and just made to look like them, the word "resembling" would have been used instead)



Solar flares go the speed of light.


So yeah, this would make a lot of people in Undertale FTL.

Just because another fan-made assessment has described it as solar flares doesn't mean they're solar flares.

In that case I'm thinking this should be fine. There's really not much else that the projectiles fired from the sun could be, anyway.

I don't agree. Unless we have concrete statements, we shouldn't throw random assumptions. It could be a solar flare. It could be a ray of light. It could be a fireball. It could be a blast of magic.

The statement where Knight Knight's bullets are solar flares are not sourced on that Wiki.

Is there a guidebook/in-game statements that say these fireballs are indeed solar flares?

They look like general fireballs coming out of the miniature "sun" here.

Unless this is a more recent update or something from the PS4 version, I do not believe they were ever called solar flares in-game. I'd need a source.

They would most likely be Solar energetic particles instead based on the scientifically-proven source I found earlier that goes along with a statement.

I don't know though. Mass ejecting from the sun can't be much else than either a solar flare or some particles.

A magic attack is also a possibility, though.
