Undefined Dimension

What happen if there is dimensional axis that is neither spatial or temporal? Does it mean for example, if ordinary universe is 4-D then with extra dimension, it 5-D? Even if it is not spatial or added temporal? If no what is this extra axis? Movement outside regular spacetime? Perhaps some form of metaphysical dimension or complex dimension, separate from ordinary spacetime? Seems unscientific, all dimensions of 3-D cube compose that cube. What about this?

They are metaphysical dimensions. In some cases, there can be a dream world, "side-bye-side" the 4-dimensional reality (3-D +1-D time), in a sense that it is part of the same overall cosmology, that is only accessible through dreams. Now even modern science cannot properly explain a dream. The dream/astral reality is obviously not part of the physical universe, or even time since space and time are correlated. Therefore, this "metaphysical" dimension is an axis of movement outside space and time (in this case, movement within dreams/astral space) or possibly non-dimensional space altogether. It depends on the source. Heck, don't get me started on how non-Euclidean geometry makes this even crazier.

Undefined dimensions that are axis of neither space nor time are almost impossible to define. 0_o Our entire tiering system is based on things we at least have some concept and understanding of as humans, and extrapolations based on that.

We have no frame of reference to comprehend such a dimension.

Not necessarily. Depends on how the cosmology is built. Bleach has Soul Society but it's not part of some higher dimensional space, it's still three-dimensional. A different axis entirely though...
