On a cultural trip to Japan, Marinette's class arrived at a quiet town.
"How does it feel to be here, Kagami?" Marinette asked her classmate.
"It's nice to come back to one's ancestral home, Marinette. As much as Paris is my home, there is always a sense of belonging whenever I am here."
The baker's daughter responded with an understanding smile.
Just then, a loud crash was heard from a distance. The two girls turned their heads towards the sound and saw a group of civilians running in their direction. Ms. Mendeleiev, their teacher, ushered their class in the same direction. "Come on class, there must be some danger coming from that direction. Let's all try to get away."
Sensing that there might be trouble, Marinette broke away from the group and ran towards a secluded alleyway.
"Marinette, wait!" Kagami cried. But she was too late to stop her classmate and was forced to follow her class.
Elsewhere, Shinji Kido was alerted to the presence of a rogue Kamen Rider causing trouble outside the Mirror Dimension. He rode his bike to a carpark near the area and inspected his surroundings. "Alright, the coast seems clear."
He pulled out a card holder and faced a reflective window pane. Upon showing his reflection the card holder, a belt formed around his waist.
"Henshin!"
He slammed the card holder into his belt, causing him to transform into the Kamen Rider, Ryuki.
Just as he was about to step through the window pane, a voice cried out from behind him.
"Hey!"
Turning around, Shinji saw a schoolgirl staring him down.
"You must be the one responsible for all the ruckus." Kagami said as she pulled out a small box from he pocket. "Ladybug told me to be discreet about using this but I guess I don't have a choice now."
She opened the box, revealing a necklace. She put it on causing a small red creature to appear out of thin air and greet her.
"Long, bring the storm!"
In an instant, the fencer was transformed into the Miraculous wielder, Ryuko
"Who is this girl?" Shinji wondered. "She doesn't seem like a Mirror Monster. But she doesn't look too friendly. Guess I'll have to take her out."
And with that, the two dragons charged.
