Prom wanted a match for Sadako, it seems like a damn good match to me. Susan Sto Helit, the granddaughter of death, versus Sadako Yamamura, the girl in the well.

Both have prior knowledge of the other (really only because it makes sense, considering Susan knows what Death knows, and Sadako should know who she's avoiding).

I dunno how this will work out, so uh. Let's check it out, shall we?

Fight takes place in a large mansion of the gothic era. Assume Susan has seen the tape so she is possessed by Sadako.

Sadako:

Susan: 1 (Promestein)

Super-Duper-Even:

Is this book or movie Sadako?

Movie, since book is just Unknown and 9-C vs 9-C fits.

Movie Sadako is definitely the more dangerous opponent (of the two Sadakos) in a straight fight, but her strategies also revolve around things like walking forwards slowly to stare someone to death with her ****** up eye.

She has her hair, yeah, but the process of hair -> death by eye isn't exactly the fastest, and Susan would be able to break out, I'm sure. Maybe Sadako could possess her.

Could be. Susan has no resistances to possession, though I'd assume she would if Pratchett bothered with such things (oh well).

Susan's first move would basically just be a melee fight. How does Sadako's possession work, out of curiosity?

She can possess those who watch the tape and are cursed, and can go on from there to do shit like this

Is watching the tape the only way?

haven't watched The Ring in awhile, apologies

I'd assume that for any match with Sadako to happen, someone (not necessarily the fighter) would've had to watch the tape, as she doesn't show up otherwise.

Fair enough. I can add that to the OP.

So Sadako is possessing, is this a method of incap or just appearing?

I dunno if Sadako would pull it out instantly, it'd be more of a tool if she's in trouble.

I'd be inclined to go with Susan, all things considered, as she can break out of Sadako's hair and retaliate with a whole lot of options. I don't think she could permanently kill Sadako - since another tape could probably summon another one - but I think she could take out the one she's gotta deal with.

Susan doesn't exactly know what a tape is, if that helps? There's no way she'd consider attacking a VHS or what have you.
