Right, I need to get this out the way.

Tier 7 Prototype was almost unanimously disagreed on.

So why did they go to tier 7?

@Weekly Battles

I won't argue about tier anymore, instead i'll just give some feats for review.

I mean, I don't really see what was wrong with that Kiloton base explosion feat.

Oh.

And so, Mercer vs Meruem sinks into the depths....

I'm posting prototype 1 feats as we speak, most are building - large building.

I will highlight the important parts so you can skim read it.

Prototype 1 FULL Game Walkthrough - No Commentary - YouTube - I hated Prototype 1.

Some sources might be uncited, however, play the game yourself, and you'll see.

I won't include Devastator feats, or really power feats, though i will add some power feats.

2:25 Deflects a grenade like it's nothing. (Full Upgrades) Note, blade doesn't increase durability.

2:33
Tanks a missile at point blank range with absolutley no damages, these same missiles can destroy tanks in a few shots, and one shot a helicopter, not only that, it left a damn big crater in the ground and flipped a car. (Full Upgrades). 51:05 He can also do it with no health upgrade. Should be noted that in the second game, they largely contributed to collapsing Farther Guerra's church.

51:05
Somewhat Keeps up with a missile with no speed upgrades, though he is quite a lot slower.

3:20
He's still vulnerable to bullets, but they cause minor damage.

5:40
Can heavily damage and destroy M-1 Abrams tanks. (Full upgrades Hammerfist), a little while later he also takes missiles from the tank. (Full Upgrades)

12:45 Withstands a missile (Which can heavily damage a tank), and then lifts up and throws a car hard enough to level the helicopter, performs similar feats at 14:14.

24:50
Tanks an explosion powerful enough to destroy that single room at point blank range, he then retains composure, and lands from dozens of meters as if it were nothing.

35:25 General Randall says Mercer can smash through a two foot thick steel door.

43:00
Tanks a high fall.

50:21
The infamous feat, tanking the exploding base, honestly it kind of contradicts general game play, as destroying 1 of those things would damage Mercer in gameplay.

1:01:37 - 1:07:11 shows that Tanks are extremely powerful, even a few bullets destroy helicopters, and they can collapse hives.

1:40:00
Can punch through Walkers, which take 2 grenades to kill. He also takes pretty much no damage from them, even though they can one shot people with Kevlar vests o.

It should be noted that Dana's safe house can be destroyed by a small barrage of helicopter missiles, however, Alex can take a much larger amount of missiles.

It should also be noted that trying to pass the Manhattan border on Bridges will result in you being shot a bunch, these missiles with destroy a tank with in seconds, however, they cause minimal damages to Mercer.

2:20:24 Tanks a barrage of small missiles
, tanks even more at 2:21:38.

2:23:30 Can withstand shock batons with minimal injury, said shock batons can one shot infected.

Should be noted here that the Parasite they inject into you does not do anything to Strength, Speed and Durability, it's specifically stated when you first get it, and at 2:37:39 for a brief period of time.

2:37:20 Moves from Dana's level to the top of the building faster than she can notice.

2:46:17
Withstands a tank exploding right in his face.

3:00:50 Can hit the ground hard enough to cause debilitating shockwaves.

3:18:25 Tanks a buch of explosives
being thrown at him.

3:27:08 Tanks a barrage of small missiles.

5:12:52
You can withstand hits from and hurt Greene's mother form, which can cause large vibrations in the ground.

6:15:38 Can lift helicopters
, there is a statement on their weight after you kill some one or in some cut scene (25,000 pounds i believe), but i can't be bothered.

6:19:50 Hit by a Nuke that would have destroyed Manhattan, though he's left as gore doing so.

If he was turned to gore he did not tank the nuke. He was nowhere near the epicenter of the explosion and even then it almost killed him. He would have died has a bird not landed next to him so that he could absorb matter and regenerate.

Even if he wasn't in the epicenter, he's still within a few hundred meters of a 45 megaton explosion. I've changed the tanked to hit by.

Yeah, and he still got turned to paste and only survived due to luck and regeneraton. If the bird didnt show up he would have died. The feat cant be used.

Prototype 2 FULL Walkthrough No Commentary Gameplay Part 1 Longplay (PC) [1080p60fps - YouTube]

Upgrades, over 11 x more durable than start of game, 1.21 x stronger, over 9 x faster.

This one will have much more concrete feats, i know this game better, it will have power scaling as well.

Your finishers can one shot tanks and helicopters.

5:45 Alex Mercer tosses an M-1 Abrams dozens of meters (Power scales with end of game Heller).

8:21 Alex Mercer one shots a Helicopter (Power scales with end of game Heller).

12:40 One shots several infected (No upgrades).

13:34 Withstands a massive explosion (No upgrades).

15:00 Withstands the same explosion with even less damage (No upgrades).

35:05 Rockets can destroy a tank in 3 shots (later 2), however, Heller can many times that 1:14:36 (including defensive powers), said missiles contribute to a large church collapsing, 1:34:20 (it should be of note that it does collapse in the story, but is there during game play).

1:30:09 Withstands point blank missiles, said missiles will 2 shot a tank.

1:54:46 Goes toe to toe with the Phase 2 soldier (even though it has much higher durability than you, it still has similar strength levels 1:58:52), this soldier is a normal Phase 1 with start of game Heller's DNA, so it's pretty damn strong, especially since it was designed to kill start of game Heller 2:04:40. It should also be noted that rockets bounce off the Super Soldier 1:55:37, Heller can still hurt it though.

4:34:40 Can withstand heat high enough to incinerate metal barrels (they dissapear upon next usage, which supports that).

5:42:08 - 5:45:14 Can trade blows with the Goliath, which cleans the street by charging, and one shots tanks. Goliaths can also shake the ground hard enough to shake apart bases.

Prototype 2 Walkthrough - Mission 28 - Operation Firehawk - YouTube 2-3 Thermobaric missiles will destroy this bunker, yet Heller's charged hammerfist attacks will heavily damage it.

5:55:55 Temporarily Increases his hammerfists to the point where just the shockwave kills Orion soldiers, tanks, and Brawlers.

6:16:25 Needs no introduction, Heller's devastator covers New York, it also absorbs all infected, which there are almost 1.5 million of.

6:16:57 Tosses a door, likely steel or titanium.

UMR should be in this discussion, he knows a lot about Prototype.

Depending on where we decide to put them at the end of the game this would likely make them 8-B

Literally the only thing here that could be tier 7, but it seems more like environmental damage rather than an actual AP feat, like Alucard's Level 0

Class 1

Dude...

I agree with this 100%. That Tier 7 feat is shaky as hell. He didn't even make a calc blog for the feat, he put in a revision blog that no calc members looked at or properly evaluated.

Also, that ******* nuke.

It in NO WAY scales to anyone. Supreme Hunter says he'll withstand it after absorbing Alex. But if that's the case, ALEX should've withstood it after absorbing Supreme Hunter. But as we all know, he didn't. He was blown to smitherines and was nearly killed had there not been a crow for him to consume.

In short, I agree with Tier 8 downgrades. Somehow getting LOW 7-C from THIS?

(9:10) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=uhI-VTmtpkk

Is a BIIIIIG no-no.

...That was a series of three explosions and the building didnt even come all the way down. Yeah no, thats not tier 7

That is SOOO much of a stretch. I literally could've used this for inFAMOUS to calc Augustine's Island by saying the art depicts it larger than in game and I bet you bottom dollar everyone would say "Hell no".

Also, the prototype verse needs to be split up into factions instead of categories, like all other verses.

This would be a good change.

Little Terminology lesson, a Prototype is an individual infected the DX-1118 C strain of the Black light Virus, an Evolved is an individual enhanced with the non prototype virus, but have those properties (that's not the actual description, but you get the point). So a Prototype is an Evolved, but an Evolved is not a Prototype.

Prototypes:

Alex Mercer.

James Heller.

Evolved :

Elizabeth Greene.

Evolved.

Infected :

Supreme Hunter.

Goliaths.

Brawler/Hunter.

Military :

Robert Cross.

Super Soldiers.

No. Alex consumes Supreme Hunter after he kills him, and still gets annihilated by the nuke.

That feat at the end of Prototype 2 in not Tier 7 either. It causes no environmental damage, it just kills all the Infected in the city and nothing else. This would be a range feat at best.

Perhaps it can be calced for KE, but judging its mass and speed would be extremely difficult.

High 8-C seems much more consistent.

A lot of people don't know what they're talking about here.

1. Alex wouldn't have died if the crow wasn't there, with half decent eyesight you can tell he was already reforming himself. Supreme Hunter could do it, and he did do it, via his own biomass. In my blog.

2. >Inverse square law on the building explosion

Except I have multiple videos up there of Heller tanking and negating the damage of the same warheads head-on, which is before he fights Mercer. Top tier infected and higher eat these for lunch. In my blog.

3. >Alex absorbed Supreme Hunter

No he didn't. In my blog.

4. >7-C from a building being poofed

Every building explodes the exact same, meaning the game animations aren't reliable. The same corners the explosions are in are completely still left standing. Also the fact that the official layout for the base > the in-game representation which is massively nerfed in size. In my blog. Also tier 7 from destroying buildings that have comparable size to a city block or greater can happen. Plus, the mechanics of a thermobaric explosion would quite literally make the building expand apart into bits.

Next we're going to downgrade the Infamous verse because ionic storm doesn't even leave burn marks on the ground.

5. The nuke, which everybody brings up, though nobody argues for it, and it only applies to one person.

That's not considering Alex got splattered while using none of his defensive forms.

6. Getting hit by bullets

I mean the game shows him in a cinematic cutscene being bulletproof but ya know, the game represents almost nothing accurately.

7. "Augustine's Island by saying the art depicts it larger than in game and I bet you bottom dollar everyone would say "Hell no"."

Nobody was saying hell no when you vouched for Tier 6 infamous via mass-energy conversion feats.

8. "He didn't even make a calc blog for the feat, he put in a revision blog that no calc members looked at or properly evaluated."

Lina, Fan, etc.

9. Only thing that could be tier 7 is his devastator after consuming Alex

Which is all part of his body anyway, and he used it to vaporize and consume half a million infected, adding to the feat.

Every feat listed by the guy with the youtube links can be done by Alex as soon as he wakes up, except for Greene/Supreme Hunter.

10. "Tier 7 Prototype was almost unanimously disagreed on."

Actually, it was thoroughly addressed and debunked, and 99% of the arguments (like this thread) came from pure game-mechanics, and lack of thorough education on the topic.

>listing a bunch of weak feats

Oh boy, the things I could do to the DB verse with this logic.

1. It's not arguable, it's directly on the screen.

4. Check the explosion in my blog. Back left corner is lined with explosives. Go into free roam, that part of the building is standing. The building behind it is in perfect condition. The sidewalks are fine, etc.

>Cutscenes "is and isn't canon"

It's canon when its forced upon you by the actual plot of the game, and not free roam tactics. I got the art from one of the blogs of the people who actually designed the game, corroborated by one of the writers of the game.

5. Not seeing what isn't reliable here, it's a cut and dry statement.

9. His attack potency increases when he eats people and from fighting, this comment makes no sense. Elizabeth Greene fortifies a building with her own biomass, which only allowed the same building busting feat above to make a giant crack in the wall. Alex scales above her via consuming her.

"He wasn't reforming, he was still moving though."

Why would he be moving if not to be restructuring himself? He likes the way the wind feels as a puddle?

9. They are already be capable of this though, devastators are just super attacks that provide AoE, and you can't casually one-shot everything in the game for logical reasons. There are many non-devastator attacks that can one-shot everything you listed. I spoke with the main writer of Prototype 2, he said that would be a question for designers, as it is a gameplay mechanics question.

Common sense here, if Alex can destroy one Hunter by himself and eat it, let alone the hundreds more he comes across, and he still can't one shot anything that walks, it's a game limitation.

At the end of Prototype 2, it literally takes you consuming some fodder infected that you two-piece to gain the ability to literally kill everything you touch. It doesn't make sense from a gameplay perspective.

You're adding someone's entire body to yours and everything about them, that's simple addition to me.

Heller is able to massacre anyone he's fought, but that can't be shown for gameplay reasons.

No I mean the same way he consumed an infected that wasn't even the strongest and was able to one-shot anything in sight should've been a thing from the birth of his powers. And then that power boost was only temporary, further proof that it makes 0 sense from a gameplay perspective.

This is my last question, this thread should probably be closed now, is Prototype 3 ever going to exist.

I said i'd be unbiased about the power scale, and i went back on that, i'm going to remove all my talk about their ability, aside from the feat list i provided and some other.
