the unmaker not only works with demons

minute 7:00 onwards the Doom slayer spends killing mykars with the unmaker I don't think it needs to be updated technically speaking to his profile since he has durability negation with the unmaker is just to get rid of that false belief that unmakes don't work on demons

It's firing Argent energy,and no where in Doom Eternal lore does it state it's the same unmakyr from 64.Maykrs aren't demon,so the laser that can harm the Khan Makyr should be able to harm other beings besides demons as well.

I am referring to the fact that because the unmaker lowers its power while killing something that has no relation to demons, it would not work with other races since it hardly hurts human beings (relatively speaking).

It is more an antv question since according to the profile it tells me that the unmaker while less demonic is the less powerful enemy it will be:

"Weaknesses: Because it's powered by the demonic energy of the target, the Unmaker can't harm foes that aren't from Hell and it doesn't deal as much damage to demon-humans and tech demons as much as it does to pure demons. Without any demon keys, the weapon shoots moderately slow"-From the profile. So I showed that it works against mykers and affects it just like demons, but apparently the eternal Doom weapon is another.(Unmakyr)

(It is not to offend) the reason why I made this thread itself was because it makes me absurd that it does not work in anything other than demons with the same power, if there is no more proof than only a text that someone may not know where it is, depending on the verse, whether there is little material or the verse is very long

The Unmaykr from Doom Eternal is not the same gun as the Unmaker from the original games.

The statement for the Unmaker being weaker against non-demon enemies comes from the Doom Bible, a design document that was basically concept stuff during the production of the game, the Doom wiki states that not much of it got into the game, so the statement likely isn't reliable.

Personally I've never played Doom 64 so I couldn't tell you if it is weaker against certain kinds of demons for sure, but going off of a statement from a concept/draft book doesn't seem reliable enough to stay on the profile.

The Unmaykr from Doom Eternal should get a seperate profile, or at least a seperate key, they are in no way the same gun. The Unmaker from Doom 64 is of demonic origin, whilst the Unmaykr is Maykr technology.

I think Unmaker should retain its weakness vs demons, if it has a source. I'm also fine with the Unmaykr harming all creatures, not just demons, since it is an entirely different gun.
