The Thing fight another shapeshifter

Jake Berenso vs The Thing. Jake is in his tiger morph and the Thing is shifted into a 9-C abomination of tentacles and claws. But that's not really thiat important because the disscusion is just gonna have to come down to the mechanics of each characters abilities.

Jake's morphing uses DNA to reconstruct his entire biological form while keeping his mind incharge so long as his will is strong enough. This means that injuries as extreme as lost limbs and even horizontal bisection (aka Low-Mid) can be healed off and because extra mass can be pulled out of Z-space, huge chunks of his body can be regrown. That being said, it's theroretically possible for the morphing process to heal anything the user can survive, but Jake can't survive his head being blown off so Low-Mid is his current limit. Normaly the morphing process won't affect things like clothing and jewlery causing thoes to be torn or broken, with the execption of skin-tight clothes.

The Thing's assimilation works via it's cells consuming the cells of other organisms, copying the devoured cells DNA and then mimicking the cell, dividing and then begining the process all over again. The Thing only needs physical contact to begin the process and only needs a single cell to survive.

In the end I think this basically comes down to how each ability will affect each character.
