The Revenant Marvel Comics Discussion Thread

Is this a decent feat or unquantifiable?

It seems unquantifiable. 🙏

I mostly like She-Hulk. She is kind, funny, positive, and uplifting. Spider-Man himself is a nice person, but his stories are overall just a depressing "the world is a dark and lonely place" trauma-conga.

Yes, but the message of Spider-Man comic books ultimately seems to be "the world hates you, and sucks completely" just as much as handling power responsibly.

I like Doctor Strange.

He's humourous but is serious when he needs to be, usually doesn't let his stressful sorcerer career ruin his attitude, realizes when he messes up, and while he usually won't kill (unless you're a super evil demon), he won't hesitate to mess you up.

Plus he's a badass.

Joe Quesada seems to be a crude, arrogant, and spiteful egomaniac, who wantonly turned Marvel Comics enormously darker, crueler, and more hopeless than previously, so he is definitely not my favourite person either. 🙏
I don’t like Garth ennis too

He must have a hatred towards heroes

Same with frank miller, actually at the beginning frank was good then he sucks

Sorry to change the subject, but there a couple other Thor feats I'd like to ask about. He is my favorite character and I've read a lot of him recently.

Eternity says that an insane Thor poses a grave peril to a good portion of what makes up Infinity and himself (This only scales to Thor though, as in this story he was bloodlusted and much stronger than all his allies who are normally comparable to him)

Thor fought and killed The Glory, a being who has the strength of an entire Pantheon. He killed him by absorbing and redirecting Glory's attack, which tore through reality itself and killed them both (At the very least High 1-B, as having the strength of a Pantheon should definitely be Skyfather level, and the writer apparently compared the Glory to the power of every Asgardian being in the body of Odin)

This isn't Thor, and I'm 99% sure this one has probably been brought up several times, but I'm just curious why Hyperion surviving an Incursion isn't counted I vaguely remember in a previous Herald upgrade thread someone saying this feat has been debunked, but I don't know how

I think that we should at least mention the other two feats within Thor's page in our wiki. 🙏

So will Miles Morales and Black Panther remain as vampires now? If so, I do not like the idea at all.

Also, Doctor Doom with the power of a Sorcerer Supreme seems more or less unstoppable.

Miles as a vampire? I agree with you, but I'm somewhat indifferent with BP, he had a good story as a vampire with his solo run and a good development. And even if they had a bitter end, the final result is somewhat uplifting since they (and every single other vampire) can walk normally under the sun.

And they can find help with people like Moon Knight and his Midnight Mission since they were working with vampires and trying to help the entire vampire situation way before this event happened. So there's a few good options for a happier ending with them. (Plus Mackay is showing to be a really good writer that can write good stories, so I can put faith on him).

Overall, I didn't really like this event much. I don't usually like events in general since it interrupts the storyline of other books I'm reading, like Avengers, but this one was just kind of boring to me. It didn't really feel like it deserved to be an event rather than just a single Avengers arc. Miles and Black Panther becoming a vampires is a bit dumb, but Doom being Sorcerer Supreme has potential to be interesting. Between this and the Death of Doctor Strange a couple years back, I am a bit annoyed though the Strange hasn't had much time lately to just be Doctor Strange. Bad things keep happening to the poor guy. His series should definitely be interesting with how he handles this though.

Has anyone read Immortal Thor #13? I really liked this issue, I'm excited to see Thor and Hercules together again, there was cool stuff with the Greek pantheon connecting to the Elder Gods mystery.

I also like it. Al Ewing is easily my favourite Marvel Comics writer right now. Thor is portrayed as much weaker than he should be in comparison to other characters though. 🙏❤️🙂

Yeah, that my one big issue with his current portrayal. Like this guy should be on roughly the same level as Galactus now, but he's usually just treated as normal Thor. I guess you could argue he's holding back even more than normal? So he's operating at his normal strength on Earth but his maximum is way higher.

Is this feat anything?

When Eric Masterson and Dargo Ktor clash:
  • It causes mystical energy to erupt across every plane of reality
  • Is compared to the Big Bang
  • Its shockwave reverberated across the entire cosmos
  • The energy it unleashed powered Zarrko's machine that would collapse infinite timelines into one
Is this a 2-A feat or no?

So is somebody willing to get "He can strike with the power of a big bang, and empower a machine that can destroy infinite universes in the process" added to Thor's VSBW profile page? 🙏
