The King of Fighters: A New Beginning's (KOF 14 manga) potential canonicity

There is a KOF 14 manga called The King of Fighters: A New Beginning that has some pretty good feats but there wasn't any hard evidence of it's canonicity until now.

Yasuyuki Oda (KOF 14 director/KOF 15 producer) stated in an old interview that the dev team reviewed the manga's story and he believed that it could influence future installments: http://neogeonow.com/misc/exclusive...ut-snk-heroines-kof-manga-and-anime-and-more/ ]

It appears that day has finally come.

It was stated in Team Ikari's official KOF 15 story that Shun'ei went berserk during KOF 14's tournament: https://www.snk-corp.co.jp/us/games/kof-xv/teams/#tab10 ]

This never happened in the game's story but it did transpire in the aforementioned manga adaptation.

Here are some of the feats from said manga.

Kyo and Iori generating a large explosion:

Goro Daimon stopping a train:

Angel lifting a large metal structure:

Angel lifting a jet:

Kula Diamond freezing a waterfall:

Benimaru generating a thunderstorm: https://imgur.com/a/96VAfXo ]

Ryo, Yuri and Robert leveling a building: https://imgur.com/a/ufiJPqv ]

Sie and Athena reacting to Sylvie Paula Paula's electromagnetic energy blasts: https://imgur.com/a/0RHKqKV ]

Etc (There are other feats in the manga but they aren't too impressive compared to the feats I've posted).

There are inconsistencies between KOF 14's game story and the manga adaptation so I'd imagine that KOF 14's manga would be treated in a similar vein to Tekken: Blood Vengeance.

What do you guys think?

Given the inconsistencies and the fact the manga wasn't stated to be canon, but just a possible source of influence, I think we should account only those events that have clearly been borrowed by the game (such as Shun ei going berserk, as you said) but nothing else that hasn't been confirmed as canon.

Blood Vengeance has far more stuff both from Harada and movie writer, along the game acknowledging things from it too and showing up in a flashback in canon with previous titles

This one has not as much in comparison, you need to have more evidence they acknowledge it, let alone if it influenced anything otherwise no

Is that the same standard that Tekken: Blood Vengeance is held to on this site?

I'm genuinely curious.

If something isnt fitting well or doesnt work, that part is left out, simple as that

More of that will be brought up in a canonicity thread
