The Hero in Training faces the beast of Yharnam

Well I’ll be darned. The other strength guy in Class 1a.

First thing I’ll say: why is Cleric Beast rated at Large Building+ when it’s value is 3.9 tons? It’s 1.6 tons away from baseline, so it shouldn’t really have that rating.

The match itself is kinda weird. None of them really do anything other than “Hit enemy hard,” so it comes down to who does it better. The cleric beast can jump really high and has the LS advantage, but can’t really do anything with it other than grab Sato and throw him. It’s regen doesn’t factor in that badly, and it’s pretty simple in its attack pattern.

Sato has the advantage where it matters, scaling to 8.12 tons, over 2x stronger and more durable than the Cleric Beast. He also has surprisingly good combat experience, as little screen time as he has, by constantly training with his classmates like Kirishima. So he has SOMETHING going for his intelligence, at least enough to know not to be stupid in a fight. He also has his signature “Sugar Rush” move where he does a punch barrage, which against something 2x weaker than him, can do some serious damage. His main weakness is prolonged combat because he gets dumber, but this key of him can withstand the sugar rush for much longer periods of time after his training, so he should be fine for a large portion of the fight.

Ultimately, the Sugarman has the edge here. He’s stronger and better at getting damage in, as well as having better general combat ability. Since this is a purely close quarters battle, all he has to do is dodge around while doing his heavy hits until the Cleric Beast goes down, since it’s regen doesn’t let it stay up in combat all that great. Even should the fight wear on for a really long time and he become stupider, that doesn’t stop his general plan, since the Cleric Beast is even dumber than him.

Can’t believe I’m saying this but Sugarman actually beats the villain quite handily. Consider the day saved.

And just to get this concluded

Man of Sugar FRA

And that's grace, thank you everyone
