The thing is

If I remove hax as well that kind of... renders alot of these character's gimmicks useless.

Vader can't use the force, Vergil can't judgement cut.
 
Then, well, maybe put the most haxfull people together, and least haxless together. Kenshin vs Tanjirou, Sasuke vs Ikki, Dante vs D, Vergil vs Rimuru, you get it?

Thats actually what I did. The less haxy characters went up against eachother.
 
Thing is, if it's not hax that helps benefit their sword and or swordsmanship, we can restrict it, right?

Why would Rimuru absorb someone if it is sword based fighting?

If this is a sword fight thing, everything that's not from a sword should he restricted.

Flawed point, a lot of characters can have a haxy sword. How does that make it any better?

If we did that like D or Vergil would stomp since they have haxed ******* sword attacks.
 
I'm not talking about hax. I don't have a problem with that. But if this is about swords, then the abilities that aren't related to swords should be restricted.

Law's Gamma Knife and Counter Shock, for example.
 
Hmm.

Akabane has a sword, a normal sword from his own blood. He also has 2-A beliefs, he can use these beliefs to make it so that his sword can cut through anything cus "he can't believe it can't do so". It benefits his swordsmanship, doesn't make it any less broken though. Considering he can use the same beliefs to nullify powers, gain immortality, and literally every other form of hax you can think of.
 
D has Regen-Neg on his sword? That's allowable, because that's quite literally just his sword. Still has to hit you, lol.

But say he uses... idk, Power Mimicry. Why? There would be no point.
 
That's fine. If the hax helps or it's used through a sword, then it's okay to stay.

This is to keep it as a swordfight.

Making it so hax are on the same tier.

Like for example if someone has 2-A hax, and another has 3-A hax, they get equalized.
 
If the character's potential gets reduced that much if he's restricted to swordfight, he shouldn't be here to begin with.
 
Hmm then how about the resistances? like if the other has 2-A fatehax for example and the other has 2-C fatehax resistance? does that mean the 2-C fatehax resist that?

One problem after another. Alright. How about absolutely nothing but swords. Basic normal swords.

Only extra hax that can be added are things like ESP, Enhanced Senses, it Precognition.
