The Driller vs Metal Gear RAY.

As Armstrong was finishing up with recruiting Sam, Monsoon arrived to tell him that Desperado had found this strange massive robotic worm alongside a much smaller but still gigantic robot of humanoid proportions frozen underground facility relatively near one of their Russian outposts that looks like it was built ages ago. Armstrong looked interested and asked what happened after that, to which Monsoon explained that they started thawing them out so that they could use one of their remaining RAY UGs to pull the humanoid robot out of the facility first, but the worm robot spontaneously activated and attacked the UG.

TL;DR The fight takes place in the Cryo Facility that Shockwave and the Driller were frozen in but pretend that it's big enough for both RAY and the Driller to be able to fight at their best in as well as the fact that the Cryo has been shut off completely, so no environmental hazards. Speed Equalized and they start just out of Melee Range of each other.

the driller is lacking in haxes, with ray having a variety of weaponry it can use along with its large heat blade.

i'd say ray takes this due to its superior weaponry (heat blades, machine guns) and LS. despite driller having higher AP (roughly 2x AP difference) the fact it fights without any skill, with the ray being shown using at the very least basic skills against people like Raiden I would say that gives this to the metal gear.

Tbf, the Driller does have little Hatchlings it can Summon that are just strong enough to damage Optimus Prime, who is stronger than RAY too, so those could prove to be a very valuable asset here.
 
Gonna say the Ray wins this one.

When acknowledging the strengths of both combatants, the Driller simply falls behind compared to the Metal Gear RAY. It’s hatchling’s are weak in comparison to both the ray and the driller itself, and so aren’t very important.
The Ray has superb defenses, able to take multiple hits from someone equal in AP and they were only broken through by a durability negating sword, and an amazing stamina, still functioning and fighting without either of its arms.
It has a bigger arsenal, its more maneuverable, more LS and just more advantages in this fight the the driller.
The AI is still likely smarter to the animalistic driller.

The Ray wins this Low Dif.
 
Grace ended a hot minute ago so this can be added.

"Well the RAY managed to incapacitate the worm but it took some heavy damage in the process, it was a lot stronger than it looked initially" Monsoon said as he finished his report. Armstrong put a hand to his chin as he thought about what they should do with this new asset and said "Have the robots be transported back here for further study. I think we might be able to take advantage of this situation more than we first thought." Armstrong then walked back away to get ready for the next phase of the operation.
