Thanos Vs Jean Grey

Jean resists Deconstruction and Matter Manipulation, so the snap, which is IG Thanos' first move, would be useless on Jean who would simply disintegrate or crush him with Class Z TK
 
I don't know what level Jean's Deconstruction Resistance is but it has layers:
Base Jean Deconstruction < HotPF Jean Deconstruction < HotPF Jean Deconstruction Resistance

Layering doesn't matter when it comes to Matter hax at different levels, it's like saying that someone who can manipulated molecules with multiple layers vs someone with baseline Quantum Resistance.
 
The Matter Manipulation page says this:
  • Molecular Manipulation: they are not able to change existing elements, as this is tied more to the nature of atoms, rather than molecules.
  • Atomic Manipulation: at this level, users can change the nature of atoms and their properties, allowing them to transmute one thing into another.
 
Jean's first move would likely be the same one she did against Apocalypse. A combination of mind hax and deconstruction while restraining him with TK
 
Jean's mind hax is thought based, unlike Thanos' snap, so she would be the first one to attack. Thanos can do something to counter mind hax?
 
Considering that the only real fight this version of Jean ever had was against Apocalypse, yes. If she holds back or avoids using her power, she uses TK defensively or her mind hax to make herself invisible or knock her opponent unconscious
 
Why did this seem so one sided
I'm not sure it's an in-character move for Jean to utilise her Mindhax from the start except if someone is dropping something to imply otherwise

Thanos can apply his Illusion Creation from the start to make Jean Perceive wrongly
He proceeds to amp with the power stone and Obliterate her

Thanos mind could not be looked into by MoonDragon with Mind Stone

How strong is Jean's mind hax
