Tenth Metal Discussion

Ever since Dark Nights: Metal, Element X has graduated from being the power source of various New God technologies (the Mother and Father Boxes, for example), and the Miracle Machine, to be the fundamental element constituting the DC Multiverse.

Trace elements of Element X exist in all matter and living beings, as the World Forge of the Dark Multiverse is the source of Tenth Metal; it is capable of creating armour and weapons powerful enough to defeat beings on the level of the Monitors (Kendra defeat Barbatos); and conducting the trace amounts of Element X in all the people of Earth released enough energy to unintentionally break the Source Wall.

And, most recently, it was used to create the Son Box and Final Batsuit introduced in Justice League #24 (retroactively, I suspect it also comprised the Thought Robot).

I'm planning to make a profile draft for Tenth Metal, so feel free to give your own thoughts here.

The Tenth Metal deserve definitely a profile here. But i'm neutral about the 1-B tier you added. I don't know if it is enough to scale the Tenth Metal to 1-B.. I mean wasn't superman or superboy prime i don't remember exactly once able to break the source wall?

It has been entered before (Kyle had to with the Emotional Entities to recharge the Spectrum), but it has never been broken to such an extent that the multiverse started to collapse as a result.

Okay thenƒæì Off topic, If the sixth dimension is supposed to be at the very top of the multiverse including the grant morrison cosmology and the source wall, should the sixth dimension be 1-B or High 1-B? After all, the final form of perpetua exist in the sixth dimension and hold creation in her hand. Plus, the sixth dimension was described as a realm of the impossible, beyond imagination and obviously, beyond time and the highest plane of existence.

In all likelihood, yes, since Perpetua herself likely qualifies as 1-A by virtue of being the original creator of the DC Multiverse and all its realms.

That said, if we make the Sixth Dimension 1-B, then what does that say about the Brothers Three who were originally the only other beings aside from her who could travel there? Furthermore, when the World Forger made his iterations of the Multiverse in an attempt at a Justice Formation, it was all done in the Sixth Dimension, with the intent of replacing the whole of Creation with the new "Future Multiverse".

Maybe the brother three should be 1-B since they exist in the sixth dimension. There is also the statement of the world forger saying "My own cells are such that i cannot exist in your plane" However, i don't know if Barbatos should be 1-B too..

He was able to kill the World Forger within the Dark Multiverse, though we don't know how that was accomplished.

Yeah indeed, i hope we will more on how barbatos killed him in the future. But within the dark multiverse, barbatos seems to have somewhat more power since in his realm, he can create dystopian worlds to torture others for eternity and consume universes and outside of the dark multiverse, he can use the energy of the dark multiverse to various effects.. So, it is kind of obvious barbatos has more power in the dark multiverse than he has in the regular multiverse.

That is definitely the case. Barbatos is, first and foremost, a creature of the Dark Multiverse and Dark Matter not meant to dwell in the Positive Matter Multiverse.

Yep, in fact, most of his powers except his history altering powers and anti-music are to infect others with the dark power of the dark multiverse.

Scott Snyder's run is certainly doing a lot to change the DC Cosmology and changing how people see its cosmic characters.

Well, since the element x broke open the source wall to the point that the multiverse startad to collapse slowly like you said and compose every bit of matter and every living beings and was used to defeat and cast barbatos out of the earth, i think high 1-b or 1-b should be fine. But you need to contact the others about your thread like matthew ect.

Technically, it's an old concept being expanded upon - Tenth Metal is the New God's Element X.

@Catalyst75 True but now the element x is more than the new gods element. It is the purest metal of the world forge and the metal of possibility, capable to create or destroy matter according the user's will. The concept is old but the element x isn't the same thing as it was before.
