Deku has a good AP advantage and stat amps. His travel speed should also be faster than Ruby. Ruby has LS and abilities like portals and size manipulation but it look like she’ll be easier to tag which is bad with Deku’s stat advantage.

Travel speed shouldn't really matter too much in this fight considering Ruby has a skyscraper sized dura neg blade that could easily slices Deku from the starting distance. Ruby also has a few other ranged options to catch Deku from a distance. She should also be able to just cut through Black Whip since her blade can cut through anything with atoms. Ruby could also likely block attacks with her giant machete.

She could beat out Black Whip, but Deku is skilled and smart enough to play around her like he did Asta. Danger Sense and Fa Jin with Black Whip will also let him avoid ranged attacks pretty well and the giant machete. He can also use Smokescreen to evade Ruby.

He shouldn't be able to dodge forever tho since Ruby could just catch him while he's in the air considering she has no problem swinging the thing like a normal sized sword. Smokescreen is nice and all but Ruby could circumvent this with her BFR attack that forces Deku into the technology realm regardless of whether she knows where the guy is or not.

Yeah but Ruby catching stray attacks will do plenty of damage. And she has no way of tracking Deku’s movements like enhanced senses. He could move around the battlefield at enhanced speed to deal damage even with her sword being giant. And once he goes Plus Ultra he’s even stronger so he could potentially finish off Ruby that way. The BFR seems like the best chance she had of winning.

What exactly do you mean by "stray attacks"? Also what you're proposing is that Ruby doesn't land a single slash against Deku and the latter is able to just chip away when he's at a range disadvantage. Ruby only need one slash to kill Deku with her dura neg blades. Ruby could also very well just briefly stun with Hyperangs before Deku decides to use Smokescreen and kill him from there. She also has a large, though finite supply of large, several meters wide shurikens for ranged combat (via using Transmutation on Doritos lmao).

Jumping around and dealing quick blows as he’s moving like what he did against Overhaul and tried on Asta. I do get what you mean about Ruby’s range advantage affecting the fight though. Danger Sense only warns Deku that he's about to be attacked, not specifically where the attack is coming from, and since Ruby will be bombarding him with everything simultaneously, Deku shouldn't be able to react to the Hyperangs coming back. He'd get stunned, allowing for Ruby to get the kill.
