I recently completed this recalculation of a slow motion feat to correct for a disregard of the apparent timeframe in the original calc and a previous attempted recalc.

Since then, a CGM has issued a comment blocking the recalc and upholding the original error. I have created this thread in the hopes of getting that overturned seeing as they don’t seem interested in revisiting it.

Some context for slow motion calcs:

The official calculations page lists this formula for calculating slow motion feats:

(real speed of reference object / apparent speed of reference object) * apparent speed of object of interest = real speed of object of interest

However both the original calcs and the CGM treat the “apparent speed of the object of interest” as simply the distance covered. This effectively assumes the apparent time is 1s. However the actual apparent time is 3.5s. This has resulted in the previous calcs and the CGM’s attempt inflating the speed by a factor of 3.5.

Could I get some help here?

Go to the CGM wall, or you won't be getting answers any time soon.
Already tried putting a message on the wall of the CGM who left the original comment (who simply deleted the message), and the only other CGM who supports the verse and occasionally responds to wall messages also isn’t responding.

Although this thread has led to one new CGM posting a supporting reply in the calc comments, so I believe I just need one more for the calc to be considered approved against the blocking comment.

Go to the wall of other CGMs

The low-end makes sense to me, Tanjiro is moving 11378 times faster than his apparent speed on-screen, which is 9.64 m/s, while the dodgeball is moving 11378 times slower than normal, 31.29 m/s.

We have to be careful to avoid the error of using the whole distance traveled to find the speed, especially when this movement is performed over several apparent seconds.
