surviving 7-D EE for a few seconds

I suppose that should warrant a minor unquantifiable resistance. However, it shouldn't imply that he should automatically be superior to 6D EE or anything of the sort. Only that he has a shot at surviving if someone can interrupt the attack or if the attacker changes his mind.

If it was working for a few seconds, unless the reason it stopped was because the caster stopped, or you magically grew resistance to it, there's no resistance.
