RejectedBump?
Error 404So, found another really good skill feat:
Superman, weakened from his battle with Conduit, defeats 430 combat specialists with weapons designed to hurt him: Superman The Man of Steel #46.
Why rejected? It's a solid as feat as anyRejected
It didn't kill him because the omega force was spentWhy rejected? It's a solid as feat as any
Or, and bear with me now, because Superman resists it.It didn't kill him because the omega force was spent
Its power and abilities are the same, if it doesn't have enough power why would it still have the ability to erase things from existence?Or, and bear with me now, because Superman resists it.
The "Omega Force is spent" clearly refers to the power output, and not the abilities.
We don't know that it lost enough power to not eviscerate things from existence, that's just head cannon. Its power and abilities are the same, if it doesn't have enough power why would it still have the ability to erase things from existence?
And how do we know if it still had the existence erasure power? We don't know that it lost enough power to not eviscerate things from existence, that's just head cannon.
All he says is that 'the Omega Force is spent', and that it's not at full power.
I disagree with the existence erasure. He's not resisting them, Darkseid EXPLICTLY says "The Omega Force is spent. It will take time to return to full potency".
This isn't Superman resisting it, this is the beam's simply not being strong enough to do their usual thing after Darkseid got hit with his own blast.
Ah, okay. Thank you. That makes sense.I mentioned this in the original thread for it when it was rejected so let me copy it. We know the Erasing is the full power of the Omega beams, since multiple times Darkseid mentions it being the full power of it. For example, here, Darkseid says the erasing beams are the full power of the Omega beams.
In addition, we've seen other people explicitly survive the Omega beams because it was too weak to use the erasing effect, such as Hank Henshaw seen here With Superman believing he was erased here (though it later turned out Darkseid changed his mind at the last minute and decided to do the soul orb thing instead, but that's beside the point).
The erasing beams are the full power/full potential of the Omega, and if the Omega Force is spent, they're too weak to erase people. That's not just the implication of the comic itself, but the implication from many of Darkseid's comics.
Probably.did this thread get forgotten
