I believe that suiryu has some degree of heat resistance.

No. Suiryu has absolutely nothing to do with the association. He hates heroes and sees them as useless and boring... well not anymore. Gouketsu and Bakuzan tortured him to the point where suiryu respects heroes now.

Anyways, tyranitar wins this

I mean, i dont know, most of Suiryu's attacks would classify as fighting type..which Tyranitar is EXTREMELY weak to, he has the AP advantage (crumbling mountains by merely walking) but a direct hit from Suiryu is going to be extremely crippling

Well he used his own original martial art so I think that's enough for a fighting type.

It is the closest thing though, so even if not all of Suiryu's techniques are 100% fighting type, most would be classified as such imo

I am leaning more towards Suiryu because of this and the facts he is way more agile than Tyranitar
