I think that was just a rumor that was started because of the time travel episode that happened the same season; no, Lapis moving the ocean did not happen in the future, and it had nothing to do with that other episode, they're unrelated and the feat did canonically happen.

And even if it was an alternate timeline, that wouldn't mean that Prime!Timeline Lapis would be incapable of performing the same feat, unless you think both timelines have completely different histories, which undermines the basis of the rumor itself.

Well the calc was already evaluated by Assalt and Shields so it itself is fine. I guess moving it to a blog is a good idea though.
