Steve (Minecraft) VS Drizzt (DnD)

I still feel Drizzt ca win this, but after some thought I'll move over to inconclusive because I admit I was kind of downplaying Steve's hax, and he probably even has the advantage. Weakness potion + golden apple kind of cements the AP gap a little hard.

that's because the battle you focused is Long Battle.

Analysis The battle is entertaining, both combatants are close advantage and disadvantage to each other.

Arsenal

  • Splash Potio: A throwing kind of potion that can apply negative status effects or just instant damage to the enemy.
    • TNT: An ignitable block of explosives, which can easily kill/harm beings with similar durability to his own.
    • Poison: Inflicts a poison which can greatly weaken the enemy, although it cannot kill them.
    • Slowness: Slows down the enemy's movements to a crawl.
    • Weakness: Reduces the enemy's physical strength greatly.
    • Decay: Causes the target to slowly withers and decompose away.
    • Instant Harming: A kind of poison that instantly dishes out damage against the enemy. These damages ignore any armor that the target possesses instead dealing direct damage to their body.
  • Lingering Potio: Another throwing potion that leaves the surrounding area of impact full of the effect of the potion for a few seconds.
  • Elytra: A pair of wings that can be used to glide when in the air.
  • Bow: A simple bow weapon. Arrows can be tipped with any of the potion effects mentioned or be turned into "Spectral Arrows", which helps Steve tracks enemy hits by it.
  • Enchantment: Possible boosts applied to Steve's weapons. They can be made sharper, more durable, enable them to produce flames or make them stronger against a specific type of enemy. Enchantements on armor can make it more durable against certain type of attacks or even damage the enemy if Steve is hit.
  • Block_Manipulation(blocks) via logic not as game mechanic, anyway did you forget he's a builder not a warrior like Drizzt ~645814
  • Shield (usually need 5% destructive capacity of Steve's durability to decrease shield's durability), Note: his shield could wether deflect or not an arrows from Minecraft that could penetrate it's only head to bedrock also woods in Minecraft aren't the same as woods in Real Life they're just similar and Minecraft's different world or alternate reality, doesn't make his shield a game mechanic. -This is new depiction not a fallacy or bias because i notice some people noted the shield are deflecting arrows are game mechanic, even still the shield in Minecraft are insanely durable and arrows in Minecraft are strong normally even stronger with enchantments.- ~Davidgumazo
  • Enchanted Golden Apple increase his Strength, Leaping, Durability and Resistence to physical attacks greatly. Only few seconds his health back to normal. ~Davidgumazo
  • He could use Anvil as a shield too and much more heavier and durable than Cubic of Gold. ~Davidgumazo

Power

  • Drow "Drizzt, as a drow, has magic and poison resistance.. as he's fought off countless other magical detriments and poisons" ~Korudo Daio
  • Regenerationn (Low) ~vsBattle
  • Enhanced Senses (Enhanced sight and hearing, infrared, heat, and night vision, danger sense) through Dark vision
  • Summoning through Figurine of Wondrous Power
  • Ice-enhanced attacks through Icingdeath
  • Force and/or Lightning-enhanced attacks through techniques
  • Radiant-enhanced attacks through techniques
  • durability negation versus evil outsiders this is irrelevant
  • high resistance to slashing damage with items through Ad'non's Shirt
  • Immunity to magical sleep effects
  • Resistance to psychic/mental attacks, poison, magic, soul-based attacks, and fear, Inborn spell-like abilities, can amplify his physical stats and resistances with The Hunter state. Inborn spell-like abilities aren't the same as Minecraft due all his abilities obtained by itself or from universe this doesn't apply to outsiders.

Arsenal

  • Icingdeath "this could have changed recently, perhaps, mind, but as far as I know, the only "Soul-based attacks" Drizzt has is the fact that Icingdeath targets evil demons/outsiders, especially those related to fire, and attacks them on a metaphysical level as well as physical. Unless Steve somehow becomes an otherworldly demon or fire entity at end game, Icingdeath's soul-based strike won't work on him.", "Icingdeath makes Drizzt immune to fire, magical in origin or not." ~Korudo Daio
  • Twinkle: Was a gift from Malachor Harpell. This magical scimitar has a keen edge and glows when danger is near, further enhancing his natural danger sense. It also has the ability to help improve the wielder's defenses, making them more difficult to hit, and can augment its attacks with radiant damage.
  • Taulmaril: A bow and arrow enchanted to amplify all of its shots with magical lightning. The accompanying quiver is enchanted to never run out of arrows, and can blast apart large boulders with just one shot. It can alternatively inflict raw force damage instead.
  • Ad'non's Shirt: This dark lightweight silk shirt is magically enchanted to help protect him from slashing attacks, almost entirely negating cuts.
  • Bracers of the Blinding Strike: Taken from Dantrag the Weapons Master of House Baenre, they increase the wearer's movement speed.
  • Figurine of Wondrous Power: Won from the drow Masoj early in his journey, this figurine allows him to summon forth his best friend, the magical parther Guenhwyvar, from the Ethereal Plane. Fighting as a panther normally does, it otherwise shares his resistances and senses, is almost as physically capable as Drizzt himself, and is almost as smart as him as well. She can be returned to the If she is killed, she returns to the Ethereal Plane through the Figurine, and cannot be resummoned until 48 hours have passed. Should the figurine ever be destroyed, Drizzt becomes unable to summon Guenhwyvar from the Ethereal Plane or return her manually until it is restored.
  • Magical Whistle: Allows him to summon the unicorn Andahar, far superior to any mundane horse, for greater mobility. Can also impale enemies upon its horn.

Durability

  • Town level (Can take direct, point-blank hits from the breath of top-tier dragons)

  • "Steve can still build around Drizzt and even if it doesn't work, Steve can hold his own against Drizzt for a long time before Steve or Drizzt trying out." ~Minecraftlover67
  • "His potions can give him various stat boosts like Strength, Speed, Durability, Regenerationn etc. At Max potion, you get 60% increased stats. If saying Steve has Mach 1000 reaction time, that means by Potion of Swiftness, he has Mach 1600 reaction and Combat Speed. Probably as fast or faster than Drizzt, Steve can build around Drizzt in an obsidian cage so fast, he wouldn't be able to react to Steve, then place TNT inside the cage. Boom! Steve wins!" ~Minecraftlover67
  • "One of Steve's enchantments are Fire Aspect IV. That means that Steve can set Drizzt on fire (One of his weaknesses, Fire)" ~Minecraftlover67
  • "Steve can jump 1 metre in the air and 4 metres by sprinting and jumping." ~Minecraftlover67

  • "Still, If Drizzt hits with his full force of 13 kilotons, Steve will be able to tank his hit in his BASE FORM!" ~Minecraftlover67
  • "Normal Bows in Minecraft the strings are made of cobweb and from giant spider, pulling the string's so strong and hard able to produce a nuclear force, at max potential it produce a "trail" effect which is wind barrier, don't underestimate this bow from Minecraft looking at Wiki a full-charge bow is 95% damage of steal evaporation feat base on ender dragon (due to Steve's health because it cause the same damage explicitly, enderdragon damage is 50% steal evaporation and 75% from head) while the minimum-charge bow is 60% damage, it's very deceiving also Ad'non's Shirt wouldn't last long." ~Davidgumazo
  • "While checking The Ender Dragon page, it said it can vaporize its own body's worth of steel, which is about 25 kilotons. If low bawling Ender Dragon and say it is its most powerful attack, it will do 15 health points of Damage to Steve without armour (Steve has 20 health points). That is Town Level at least. So you will need Drizzt to attack 13 Kilotons worth of force three times to put Steve down without armour. Plus, non - enchanted Diamond armour increases health by 4x and Steve's ability to tank hits by 8x. Then Drizzt will need 133 Kilotons worth of energy to put him down. And, Steve (without any gear), can punch with a force of nearly 1.7 Kilotons, making Attack Potency Low 7-C." ~Minecraftlover67
  • "Drizzt had a hard time scratching Steve's skin would be same he fought a girl could easily cut steel , also Steve survive in the level of Steel Evaporation feat." ~Davidgumazo

  • "When the time, in healing state, he could just dodge and block with placing blocks everywhere to prevent killing him easy as Drizzt is straightfoward fighter then Steve always fought straight forward mobs would be enough to dodge Drizzt but Drizzt would realize fourth the use of Totem of Undying giving Steve much trouble." ~Davidgumazo
  • "Also the vital spots is small during Full Armor and Shield with swords would just protect his vital spots that's logic." ~Davidgumazo
  • re-stated "that's not how it works, i stated "magic" referring to potions referred Status Effect Inducement, some of the effect of potions count as toxins, instant harming was never be a toxin, Decay would inflicts Death Manipulation so it would still potent, potions works differently in Minecraft than Drizzt, honestly looking at all this claims there's alot of bias, you should tell us useful information about Drizzt than casually wanking Steve's stats, though Steve's farther to glass cannon since not being user-implemented like Robloxian." ~Davidgumazo
  • "Drizzt had a hard time scratching Steve's skin would be same he fought a girl could easily cut steel , also Steve survive in the level of Steel Evaporation feat." ~Davidgumazo
  • re-stated "-% inflict from potions since people right now thought his "health points" is game mechanics this means, i'll provide you current canonicity of how much it inflicts said Wiki stated a fatal damage 60% of Early-Game Steve ignores durability and Drizzt no equipment durability are slightly durable also still ignores Drizzt' dura and equipment, "treating all the potions as toxins and ineffective" is downplay and bias statement. Drizzt are resistence to magic/toxin makes no difference OP said Status Effect Inducement and Drizzt has null his equipments, it only takes 3 Instant Harming II to kill Drizzt that's the fact you can't change this, Dodging is useless as splash potions begun to touch the ground instantaneously affect 4 meter radius giving Drizzt a suprised before he could re-dodge the splash potion again Steve already knows his opponent aren't the same as Mobs he already thrown 3-5 instant harming potion II at same time, why would Steve would waste his potions not knowing what his enemy can do he'll notice before Drizzt does, Steve's skilled at arsenal tactics and Instant Harming splash potion II are his trump card doesn't downplay Drizzt advantages, thinking Steve has no chance to win is a laugh you're pointing out his Gameplay Mechanics that's not how it works." ~Davidgumazo

"He's used Faerie Fire to outline invisible opponents" ~Korudo Daio
  • "Taulmaril the Heartseeker can pierce through massive stone boulders and continue on to penetrate multiple targets on the other side" ~Korudo Daio
  • "He can even fight blind, and see in the darkness underground, as well as track enemies in the dark--so even if Steve tried to hurriedly dig to hide, Drizzt would be able to easily track him due to the years he spent living alone in the Underdark, a place much more dangerous than anything the main Minecraft world has to offer." ~Korudo Daio
  • only after Drizzt has knowledge in craft table "When it comes down to it, in my opinion, Steve doesn't have much going for him in this fight besides his durability. Drizzt isn't going to just let Steve build or craft mid-fight, after all" ~Korudo Daio
  • "He'd be able to easily escape any of Steve's attempts to block him in, simply by not standing in one place. As well, Drizzt is an expert trapfinder, so attempts for Steve to lure him into a pit or trap are implausible, at best." ~Korudo Daio
  • "Drizzt should take this with mid difficulties at most. Far more skilled and quite a bit more versatile." ~EliminatorVenom
  • "he's fought tougher opponents than himself before, and his resistance to slashing damage would help reduce the AP gap." ~DerpCity

If Drizzt see's him standing and healing, they'll just cut him down again. Also also, Steve has to give up either his sword hand or his shield hand in order to ressurect, as he has to be actively wielding it in order to revive, which would negate some of the benefits you mentioned earlier." ~DerpCity
  • mid-battle "Drizzt does use some "routines", but as proved in his fight against Dantrag Baenre, improvisation in the middle of combat is Drizzt's greatest weapon", "while he's parrying Steve's sword with one of his own, he's already got his other scimitar lined up for a follow-up. Steve cannot possibly keep up with something like that", "he knows well the mechanics of fighting someone in full armor who carries a shield." ~Korudo Daio

Steve

  • "even Drizzt fought Smarter opponent he litterally can underestimate like Steve in appearances "since he's stranger and no equipement because of hammer space", when conflict happened in first battle starts Steve first to notice his opponent isn't mindless and has strange slightly powerful equipment in Steve's POV, Steve would just throw 3-5 instant harming splash potions II and enderpearl at the same time, Steve will just escape and watch Drizzt endure it to death even he survive he's in weakest state then Steve can do whatever he want in one word "kill". Steve's also doesn't underestimate his strange and new opponents (since it's pretty common in Minecraft) and Drizzt would likely to compare Steve to noble warrior, giving Drizzt a delay to counter his deadly arsenals, also Drizzt has no knowledge about what kind of potion Steve's using." ~Davidgumazo
  • "Seems there's some people think about splash potion is liquid (Minecraft Potions are Magic Potions not like cliche of anime/novel), WHEN SPLASH POTIONS TOUCH THE GROUND WILL INSTANTANEOUSLY AFFECT 4 METER RADIUS giving Drizzt had no chance of dodging but he still could dodge by AIM DODGING that's the weakness of potions", "Splash potion isn't exactly magic spell due those Potions are Status Effect Inducement, it would still affect Drizzt, not to be confuse with "magic" referred to Status Effect Inducement, Decay would inflicts Death Manipulation so it would still potent, just heard someone said gamemode is gamemechanics if they'd just agree like that then 10% fatal damage per second would be a problem to Drizzt even in his Hunter State mode." ~Davidgumazo
  • "Steve has Enchanted Apples, Shields and Dacay Splash Potions, Oone more thing about Splash Potion- in Drizzt world there's no potion like Minecraft splash potions could instantaneous affect 4 meter radius, giving Drizzt a trouble." ~Davidgumazo
  • "Steve's has actual arsenal tactics though under Drizzt superior swordmanship, doesn't null his arsenal tactics. Instantaneous Damage Splash Potion II would extremely weaken Drizzt 33.33% health/endurance/stamina." ~Davidgumazo
  • "Steve lives for 300~600 years base on my own calc, the wiki, death battle fanon wiki, minecraft forum and animation rewind youtube. "lack of dual wielding" just because of newest update is downplay, newest updates in Minecraft affects every detail in his survival experience that means he can dual-wield from the beginning to the present for atleast 200+ years or even higher and also there's a shield and enderpearl, Steve's tactics also were rapid switch item in Hammer Space via 101 years of experience." ~Davidgumazo
  • "that doesn't Drizzt could EZ OHKO Steve, just because he fought Smarter opponent he litterally can underestimate like Steve in appearances "since he's stranger", when conflict happened in first battle starts Steve first to notice his opponent isn't mindless and has strange slightly powerful equipment in Steve's POV, Steve would just throw 3-5 instant harming splash potions II and enderpearl at the same time, Steve will just escape and watch Drizzt endure it to death even he survive he's in weakest state then Steve can do whatever he want in one word "kill". Final Verdict
Location: Multiverse (SBA)

"SBA the battle is at midnight, because sunlight doesn't allow drizzt to fight at 100%, and SBA says that time is so that both are at their strongest." ~Overlord775 "This means the location's decided to be in the Forest on Dirt Path with Street Lights, Steve can't be advantageous in the dark place all time." ~Davidgumazo

Steve Restrictions:*Canonicity: Player tactics are game mechanics, such as downplays: "he hasn't really fought hordes of characters on his own level level, especially not 3", "flail until its dead", "sword-and-board-wielding", "Nor does Steve being able to dual-wield", "he lacks Drizzt's 100+ years of experience with dual-wielding weapons of the same length", "There's nothing canonically stating that Steve has any actual skill or experience fighting other skilled swordsmen", "except that steve's only move other than a simple slash, is a side swipe"

  • Speed Equalized: Speed and Slowness (splash) potions are nulled.
Result:

Drizzt Restrictions:*Duel: Guenhwyvar from Figurine of Wondrous Power aren't allowed, because outside help aren't allowed.

Result:

  • through sheer willpower
  • Icingdeath is soul manipulation can effectively damage Steve
  • Expert Swordsma he's superior parried and literally bested his equal in swordplay, and consistently
  • Ambidextrous Fighter his hands move independently from each other.
  • CQC Arsenal Advantage
  • Clearly wins at Long Battle
  • Superior Swordmanship
  • Hand-to-Hand Advantage

Upgrades for Steve

@Korudo Daio: If the battle takes place at midnight, then Drizzt has an advantage, because he can see in pitch black darkness thanks to Darkvision, while Steve requires external light--light that would just make him a target for Drizzt. The only "bright light" that can disorient Drizzt is if someone were to literally blast him full in the eyes with directed beams of light, or summon a magical light that shines exceedingly bright. Even then, Drizzt has high pain tolerance, and can fight blind, so light isn't really a factor for him. @Davidgumazo: Steve doesn't impede by mere brightness, he can see in daylight with night vision effect mean he has high brightness tolerance, opposite to Drizzt if he were blinded by brightness would be distracted giving his opponent another move. @Korudo Daio: can take cuts and bleed from skeleton arrows. If normal steel can pierce Steve's skin. Drizzt's enchanted swords are certainly up to par. @Davidgumazo: Normal Bows in Minecraft the strings are made of cobweb and from giant spider, pulling the string's so strong and hard able to produce a nuclear force, at max potential it produce a "trail" effect which is wind barrier, don't underestimate this bow from Minecraft looking at Wiki a full-charge bow is 95% damage of steal evaporation feat base on ender dragon (due to Steve's health because it cause the same damage explicitly, enderdragon damage is 50% steal evaporation and 75% from head) while the minimum-charge bow is 60% damage, it's very deceiving also Ad'non's Shirt wouldn't last long. @DerpCity: ...on the Minecraft Wiki, but I doubt it has explicit cut-resisting powers. It would be as durable as Steve is, if anything, and you can only block in one direction at a time. @Davidgumazo: yep that's true Durable as Steve atleast 5% lowest damage.. i hope there's no people interpret that arrow damage's at room level or small building because that's wrong not all bows are the same as cheap normal bows in the real world, based on calc as i already explained above.

645814 and Davidgumazo(me) are the same guy, you can look at my profile the reason, i'm not sock puppet, reason is sigh.. that facebook is annoying :-/

Final Thoughts

  1. What Drizzt should be his Intelligence? so i can edit the analysis
  2. Both combatants has close advantages and disadvantages, should be INCONCLUSIVE?
  3. Not sure if this MOBS in Minecraft are mindless, it's clearly a gameplay mechanics' interpretation, because AI of Game is game mechanics, do you agree?
  4. Zombies... in SAO, Other franchizes, Otherworlds, and Minecraft..etc, they're always MINDLESS right? if you agree then mentioning zombies from Minecraft are irrelevant.

In 15 days time, Minecraft is going to have a New Boss Mob, probably stronger than the Ender Dragon so can change the profile and Steve with no gear is supposed to be High 7-C (if you read the message I sent to The Everlasting) and no one tell me I'm a Minecraft fanboy

I'm thoroughly familiar with both of them. This is an absoulte joke. Steve's profile is wrong. Drizzt wins in 10 seconds. Taulmaril one-shots Steve.

Scenario: Steve tries to escape into a cave. Drizzt chases him at the same slow speed. Drizzt is firing with Taulmaril and his accuracy is great enough that he destroys Steve's inventory in one shot (no game mechanics = Steve has to have a bag of inventory. Taulmaril's lightning destroys his potions). Steve is running further into the cave. Steve makes a miscalculation (have these people ever played Minecraft?) and can't jump far enough to clear the lava pool. Steve burns up in the lava without Drizzt having to do anything.

And even if you won't grant me that, Steve is only capable of swinging his sword in one constant arc. That's literally how Steve is artistically portrayed in-game, it's not mechanics. Drizzt deftly decapitates Steve within two seconds. Or, Drizzt headshots Steve while Steve is approaching. Steve has a hard time dodging things, as you will know if you've ever played the game. If you haven't read the Drizzt books, as I'm certain most of the pro-Steve people haven't read a book in their lives, you should try reading at least six of them before making a judgement call on how strong Steve is compared to Drizzt. I'm thoroughly familiar with both worlds and the answer is painfully clear, and that whoever is in charge of the Steve page, is extremely biased and dishonest in putting his stats that high, based on self-contradicting "calculations" (several problems with trying to make calculations from Minecraft to the real world) that artificially inflate Steve's level of ability.

Artistically and intetionally, Minecraft is a simple survival game where you try to survive as a vulnerable human. For one thing, the arrow force isn't nuclear, it's a regular bow and arrow. If it was nuclear, the game would depict the effect of a nuclear-force arrow punching through a target and causing streaks of plasma, as one would expect to see from a nuclear-force arrow. That is not what is depicted. The arrow slightly pushes back enemy mobs and doesn't kill them, just as you would expect in real life. This is where the discussion naturally ends. But guess what? Some fantaical minecraft-worshipers concocted a plan to inflate Steve's characteristics beyond the reasonable and observable level, using calculations from specific points of the game where the creators were not completely consistent, and which calculations do not parr with other calculations that could be made (but were not) regarding, for example, the striking strength of the arrow.

Anyone who plays and enjoys Minecraft will agree with my assessment. Anyone who is biased in favor of Steve will not agree. I like Minecraft a lot. It is a great worldbuilding game and I've played it for years, I defintely support it. I like Steve, although I would add that he technically doesn't exist in-canon, as the player is the one interacting with the world through his avatar. I can assure you, that there is nothing in the Minecraft universe that Drizzt or, for that matter, most fictional characters couldn't easily overcome, and if you don't like that fact, you go to another forum and perpetuate your faulty calculations on people who like to dishonestly inflate their favorite characters as much as you do.

Might I add, it is clear from reading this thread, that those who side with Steve are not familiar with Drizzt in the least (they refer to him as "dude," and consistently display a poor understand of Drizzt's abilities) and were likely just trying to find a nice-looking 7-C character for their crusade. That kind of blatant bias is not suitable for the Vs. Battles Wiki.

This is also defintely a case of "Popular Character" vs. "Who is that guy? (some obscure character we've never heard of and can't take seriously)?" going on here. Thus, the defense for Steve and the investment of Minecraft worshipers (you know how many there are) will be disproportionately more numerous than those who are unbiased since they like both franchises. If this wasn't the case, Steve's Tier would be much lower, as it accurately should be.

As much as I absolutely agree with you (I was "Korudo Daio" back when this thread was made), this is an old necro thread.

It was posted in 2017, not 2018, heh.

Oh, well that's all I really needed to hear anyway. I guess it doesn't matter who "wins" this match as long as I'm not the only one who thinks this is ridiculous lol. Thanks for the reply.

I'm okay with the thread being closed if anyone wants to.
