His fight with Cheung Tin Chi actually involves a fight with a long bo staff, a fight with twin butcher knives, and a fight bare handed.
Ip Man is also shown to be able to use weapons and even pick weapons should he not be carrying one.
Chen Zhe is shown to be very adept at using wood sticks and nunchucks.
