So I'm probably one to question this but there's zero reason Mr. Krabs abilities carry over in his robot form given how different his physiology is

Pretty sure this is from the 2014 movie and I don't know much about that so I can't help

As someone who has seen the movie, agreed. His physiology is completely different, unlike the rest of the 8-As, and he shows no indication of having his previous powers.
