Soul hax potency

@Schnee That's the point of the anology. Not being punched apart=ability to resist destruction, not being judo throwed=ability to resist forceful movement

Just because you accomplished the former doesn't mean you'll accomplish the latter

Tbh, I don't even think we should assume a verse has souls unless it's confirmed to have an afterlife/ghost are confirmed to exist.

And you do realize that you didn't ask why I was comparing soul manip to physical actions right? you asked why I was comparing a physical action to another physical action

This got indirectly denied already in a Thread from Wankistan

Indirectly denied?

What does that mean?

As in, we no longer assume a verse has souls or we still assume it?

<Indirectly

It got directly denied, CRT and all. We still assume souls do exist.

@Andy No I asked why you made a comparison between two physical actions to souls, but that's completely irrelevant anyway since we're on the same point.

I mean...

Souls don't exist in real life, so I don't think we should assume they exist in a verse which doesn't mention them...that's for another thread though.

I know this was a joke but really not the best place.

Oh please don't start this as this will enter in religious beliefs and whatnot.

He means I already made a thread for this issue and people disagreed

Okay...how about this...

If we assume everyone has souls...Why do we assume they are reliant on their soul?

As in, why do we assume they need their soul to live, when there is no evidence for that in their franchise?

I know some verses where they explicitly aren't. If you can argue successfully for souls being irrelevant like I could for Destiny then I guess you got the best type of soul resist possible, but I believe most of the religious/philosophical holdings concerning souls assert that they're an integral thing, or at least a spiritual organ of sorts

Forgive me for having to bring this up, from how souls are originally depicted, they are basically the person's life force and being, and it's what leaves the body after they die.

This wass already discussed.

We don't assume they have souls. We just act like they do for verse equal (as in, verse equalization, so don't you say nothing to equalize) least we have people arguin that real world has no proof of platonic concepts, makingm Composite Human capable of resisting 1-A hax willy nilly.

Because metaphyical minds, souls and (most types of) concepts are not provable.

Religious stuff isn't necessary (I think?) Just keep this on the topic of resistance scaling please

I don't mean religion, and there really is no need. If a verse without showing souls (say, real worlds) is put in a match with one that has souls (Let's say sakura dungeon to stay classy), we assume that the souls work by Sakura Dungeon rules.

If the verse already has a system for souls, we assume that.

If a verse directly proves or states that souls are not real, then they don't have it at all.

That was a general comment of mine, not really directed at one specific person

At that point, one has to wonder whether its hax or just VSBW that is the problem here.

So what did we conclude before religion derailed another soul thread with a single mention? Something about soul rip and destriction are different.
