I was so surprised when Eggman started levitating before punching a guy through a building. Until Eggman transformed into Neo Metal Sonic and I was like oh that makes sense.

Bro why did this use Eggman's forces more than the Death Battle?

This only implies Neo being able to use harness Sol Emerald Energy and get her fire powers. Don't much see it copying stats 1-for-1. Just seems like that he'd get her powers and MAYBE neutralize the Sol Emeralds (which seems a bit of a stretch).

In death battles defense their animation was three minutes long while this one was twelve.
As for this video it's great for such a small channel but the animation was stiff and the English was just bad. Credit where it's do though I like how the charecters were utilized and I like that Eggman and Wily actually did things here. It's also nice that there was a good bit of back and forth here with neither of the charecters being constantly on the backfoot (ahem death battle).
Other likes and dislikes I have are.
I like how there were two phantom ruby's since there's the prototype and the original.
I dont like that the ruby's only used only a little bit of their reality warping although Infinite dropping a sun was still nice.
I dont like the inclusion of Agent Stone since I just found it distracting.
I think Zero probably should have done more even with my limited knowledge of megaman.
I feel mixed about the movie Death Egg Robot being used in both this episode and in Death Battle.
Metal Sonic as Eggman punching a dude through a sky scraper was just plain awesome.
Sage being tangible was extremely bizzare and I think her sprite is probably the worst of every combatant.
That part where Metal Sonic went beast mode and solod like seven or eight robot masters was pretty cool.
I like how they included Shadow Androids although I wish they had their actual weapons and not those weird mega busters.
Also its funny that the random scissor head guy put in so much work but I'm here for it.

They don't use the same thing considering they are only equivalents in power, not the same. We don't exactly know the power the Sol Emeralds use. Also Tails only says this as a "what if" question, not a certainty.

I think another point in play is budget split. DB has to worry about fight budget, analysis budget, etc. But also time constraints depending on how many minutes they can make the fight, asset split, etc. The fights in the animation provided I believe are mostly pre-made sprites? Correct me if I'm wrong. But BowsEgg had custom made 2D rigs for the animation and all + budget also spent on analysis + a certain timeframe to worry about.

The absence of evidence isn't evidence of substance. Tails was just speculating and the Sol Emeralds are never said to be using Chaos Energy, we it's just an unknowable factor until info actually drops about that.

Blaze has a totally different story in sonic 06 and rivals. Do we know the sol emeralds existed in 06? They could have come into existance after the timeline reset

Well Blaze existed before 06 even came out. Honestly, just feels way easier to say that Blaze was always from the Sol Dimension and the Blaze that was with Silver in 06 somehow traveled to Silver's world. Isn't the first time time slop happened.

Sonic Channel's profile said that on occasion Blaze crossed space-time due to the Sol Emeralds, which was different from her usual crossing to Sonic's world, which seems to be the explanation for how she got to Silver's future. But this was before Ian said "Sol Emeralds don't have an equivalent to Chaos Control and all they can do is very limited travel between the Sol Dimension and Sonic's world", so who knows if that is still valid.

One uses already available assets with some custom ones while the other makes entire models even 2D rigs
And due to that death battle can’t put more of Eggman’s forces into the video since the money needs to be used sparingly, meanwhile the other essentially can use pre-made stuff that costs nothing

Maybe because one is of a way higher quality and had deadlines to meet while also almost being completely animated by one guy (moro). Idk though could be anything

This excuse doesn't work when they added all of Bowser's forces and were going to add the koopalings as well, if it wasn't for Moro.
