Sonic General Discussion Zone Act 1: New Frontiers

At this point maybe it should just be that super forms vs super forms bosses is like Spider-Man vs standard Marvel street tiers, where they are always at X power level but only dishes out Y amounts of damage unless necessary.

It reconciles both the narrative WoG that they’re always the same power level and allows for the varied boss tiers.
 
I wouldn't use the Infinite statement as much, personally. Knuckles is said to be stronger than Sonic, and they're still comparable to each other. Infinite could be the same. He also just doesn't have the best feats against Sonic, so I still wouldn't take it by much weight.
 
I'm not holding my breath, as I'm bad at doing it, but can you imagine if the Bayonetta, Shin Megami Tensei, game Sonic/NiGHTS, and DC cosmologies are confirmed to be the same this year? Dang.

Yeah, I think at minimum he's probably Base Sonic's strongest at that point. Strongest overall? Now that's where things get more debatable. The main point of contention is "strongest compared to who?" leading to debates like we have.

I mean, the statement is pretty clear that he's the strongest yet, AKA he's the strongest compared to everything up to Forces. The real debate is if this statement is valid in the first place or if it's only referring to base Sonic's foes.

Personally I think him coming from an alternate dimension is more entertaining in terms of what ideas can be explored out there in the multiverse. And despite his legit psychotic behavior of wanting to destroy the world, I feel his motivations set up much higher stakes for the heroes involved. The only thing worse than Eggman is an Eggman who purely wants to destroy (and I love him for that).

i mostly don't dislike eggman nega, but i also don't like him, it is a indifference to me, but i like him being from the future, mostly because it shows that the Eggman lineage will continue for years.

I prefer him being from the future, honestly. He ends up being Silver's Eggman, and thus each hedgehog gets their own Robotnik (Sonic-Eggman, Shadow-Gerald, Silver-Nega). And yeah, I really do hope he gets added in, it sucks his last appearance was the freaking Olympic Games.

I don't know if this is a hot take or not, but I feel Nega is another "wasted potential" type of character. Like it doesn't matter what backstory he has, you could do a ton of fun stuff with him (alt dimension could expand upon the multiverse, future could expand upon... well, the future). As it stands, though, I can't blame anybody for viewing him as a less interesting Eggman.

He's almost dressed like a bee, and he is a poor bee at that. I do not like him.

Alternate timeline, I guess. It messes with potential continuity less.

Toyoda made a few comments about the Shadow manga. It was decided to be 6-chapters long since the start and he thinks Imada's drawing skills were amazing all this time and he is happy that Shadow was drawn so cool and Maria so cute.

The final battle was made following the settings from the game, which he thought was great.
 
Just so I don't mess things up, we can use abilities from Sonic Adventure 2: Battle multiplayer right? Cus I just found out it has the exact same mechanic of mashing buttons to speed up the duration of being stuck in Chaos Control in Sonic Heroes in the fight against Metal Overlord
