The gods created the Chaos Emerald. That's what it says in the Sonic 2 manual.

I have a conspiracy theory that when we aren't paying attention, someone edits this stuff out

Okay being 100% serious I KNOW I applied that scan to her page. Like, I feel on multiple occasions as well. So it's really ******* annoying when I feel like I've had to apply this 3 damn times

Mind elaborating? The wiki says that, according to one legend, the gods sealed the Chaos Emeralds on West Side Island, and also that they created the Master Emerald to balance out the Chaos Emeralds' power. There was no mention of them creating the Chaos Emeralds. The wiki also cited the Sonic 2 manual

Anyway fun fact, literally the only one of the mandatory QTEs in Shadow Gens that causes a negative effect is the first one. For most of them you can do literally nothing and Shadow will do the successful counter regardless.

Huh. I guess I misremembered it.
 
You know after playing Shadow Generations and contemplating the inclusion of stages from future Sonic games like Sunset Heights, I developed this completely unfounded theory that the reason why Infinite exists is because of Eggman's knowledge. Basically my idea is that Eggman tried to conquer the world at some point in the future, got stopped by Sonic and co, but then Eggman of the past learned of the future and had plans in preparation to ensure that future didn't come to tution.

Sadly this theory doesn't work because the Death Egg Robots in Sunset Heights are after Eggman took over the world, but it's a fun little idea I had to explain the lack of Infinite's presence in Shadow Generations.

Infinite isn't in the game because he's unironically too strong for base Shadow.
 
Another point for sonic's dimensional travel to be completely based on packpur skill, sonic implies to sage that the cyberspace being made from his memorys gave him the edge he needed to escape. Sonic is just so skilled that he can escape other realitys by jumping around

Okay, but it would be nice if any of the ones that DID display multiversal and/or universal powers didn't get CHEESED instead of beaten fair and square by a Super form, because it makes it SEEM like Super Forms CAN'T beat it because otherwise, a Super form just WOULD. Heck, how is it that, if Super Sonic is universal, Dr. Eggman has literally been able to do ANYTHING? Screw the ring limits, just change the laws of the universe so you have infinite time with them and they can never be taken away, and that's the universe now! You SEE how it kinda feels like putting Super Forms, or ANY use of the Chaos Emeralds, at universal is a little bit weird?
