Sonic General Discussion Zone Act 1: New Frontiers

My proof is that there is no statement confirming this applies to the games as of yet
Do you know what Modal Realism is?

Modal realism is the view propounded by philosopher David Lewis that all possible worlds are real in the same way as is the actual world: they are "of a kind with this world of ours."

Ian Flynn confirms that Sonic’s world is compatible with that

So Possible Worlds that could’ve been or are… are actual worlds.

This is consistent with Sonic CD in which two possibilities are some actual world.

English Sonic manuals in the classic era aren’t super reliable, and all Ian is saying there is that parallel universes in general exist, so it’s not super clear cut imo.

Except that particular part in the manual was referring to the good and bad endings of Sonic CD. You can’t just say “oh they’re not reliable.” No I just debunked that notion. At the bare minimum Ian Flynn is saying there are infinite parallel universes. You forget that in the video I sent Ian also states that Sonic Prime is exploring possibilities so since there are an infinite amount of possibilities that means there would be infinite universes. Stop being difficult and accept it already.

Also something just came to me… possibilities can mean parallel universes but why would he agree or suggest that there are infinite possibilities? Your arguments don’t add up.

I have a question for you all. When humans are introduced again (as the second Tailstube confirms the Anthros live on smaller land masses compared to the humans), is there any particular way you want them to return?

I think our earliest chance of seeing them again is in IDW for like Issue 100 or something. I personally wouldn't mind seeing what's left of G.U.N. becoming a sort of smaller, more incognito paramilitary group after they got their asses kicked in the Eggman War during Forces.

Probably have Sonic and Co visiting Station Square to reminisce about the events of SA1.

I want Sonic and Co to visit Central City or something like that

Honestly, the threats nowadays have grown far too powerful for organizations like G.U.N. to remain relevant outside of their role in Chronicles of providing information.

I'm down with them just being general characters, so to speak. Like, in a sense. I'd like for there to be no special introduction. The human character(s) just shows up.

Purchased the first 3 volumes for IDW Sonic and have this to guide me thanks to @Maverick_Zero_X so I'll be diving into this now and again

You'll enjoy most of it, it's solid except for a rough or boring patch here and there. Won't spoil it, but the current arc in particular is looking like it has some very good potential for the future of the comic series.

Oh, and Scrapnik Island is goated.

Yeah I've heard too many good things and follow it on Twitter so I've seen some cool shit from it here and there plus Surge so yeah

Steal8ng shake's idea of daily questions to myself, what crossovers would you like to happen with sonic the most? No mario since it is an easy one even tho i would like, no the olympcs don't count lol

Sonic and The Legend of Zelda would be fun and no, Lost World doesn't count

Sonic's quirky and sassy attitude runs parallel to Link's more quiet nature while not being directly opposed, Link is mainly rooted to Zelda and her kingdom while Sonic is a free-spirited adventurer that travels. Yet both are championed heroes of their world that are skilled in swordsmanship, and the mythical setting allows Sonic to fit right in without anybody batting an eye. Perfect balance of differing yet similar ideologies.

link is even quieter than whisper now that i think about it, but he is also really more serious like shadow, i wonder how would sonic deal with him, i only that it would funny as hell lol, specially if sonic became a little troll and mocked ganon left and right "huh, all of that to become a pig? sorry dude, i eat the likes of you every day, you are just a giant chilidog waiting to be made" lmao

Sonic and Dragonball.

I think it would make for a interesting story and good interections.
is it weird that the only thing that comes to my head is goku using the chaos emeralds and then having a super sayan with red eyes?

Suprised no one has said the obvious sonic with Goku or DB in general one tbh when cool ass art like this exist

Edit: @Undylan beat me to it

GOODDAMM THAT LOOKS CLEAN AF, HOLY

sonic is TLOZ but faster confirmed

1. Sonic and Flash. Not only cuz if the debate but I would like to just see how they interact.
2. Sonic and DMC. Idk why but I feel like there would be some legendary banter (Sonic and Dante always quipping and going back and forth. Or Vergil and Shadow just having the most legendary shit talking battle of all time).
